France-born and international artist Lionel Thomas brings a colorful perspective and injects new life into the art world with his myriad of vibrant works. A self-taught artist, Lionel finds inspiration in the dynamic energy of both his city of Lille and Yaounde (Cameroon) his Cameroonian and French roots and creates pieces that are rich in music culture. Lionel Thomas has also found inspiration in Jazz and Blues music.

Thanks Quikr, Basquiat’s friend, who I met during an art fair show in the North of France, and blessed my art. - ONLY three black artists there, including me… how many doors shut my way, in my country. Inspiring me to go to New York, which I did.

Racism is REAL in the art industry.

They surf the Basquiat wave now but when he was alive they were framing him with words such as: primitive, street, wild child, noble savage, etc.

I began my entrepreneural journey at 22 years of age when I opened my first printing business. Over a decade later I left the industry and began my career in the web development business. It wasn't long after that I jumped into digital marketing and Social Media management. 

In mid 2005 I became involved in various software development projects and fell in love with the industry. I took that passion to the electronic payments industry in 2015 and founded Bryte IT and co-founded Bryte Payments.
