VP-Level Supply Chain Leader | $150M Inventory | $500M Spend | Plan-Buy-Make | Working Capital & Service

Dusting off my email login after a great holiday week — full of family adventures, a few too many cookies, and a little virus (holidays with a 5- and 8-year-old wouldn’t be complete without a few germs right? 🫠).

I tend to set intentions for the year ahead, rather than formal goals.

They keep me focused not just on what I deliver, but how I show up — and preserve flexibility as priorities inevitably shift.

This year, one of my professional intentions is simple:
be more intentional about what (and how) I prioritize.

At scale, the hardest problems aren’t technical.
They’re deciding what truly matters right now — and what can wait without creating unnecessary risk.

In supply chain, that tension is everywhere:
• inventory vs. service
• speed vs. stability
• short-term performance vs. long-term capability
• stabilizing today vs. building for tomorrow

Earlier in my career, I focused on solving individual issues well.
Over time, the work has shifted toward making tradeoffs explicit, aligning around them early, and facilitating decisions before conflicting priorities turn into chaos.

Clarity doesn’t come from perfect plans.
It comes from well-communicated priorities — and the discipline to revisit them as conditions change.

Headquartered in Nagoya, Japan, Rinnai is the world’s largest manufacturer ($3.2B) of tankless water heaters, boilers, and furnaces. The Peachtree City location is their North American headquarters.

- Oversaw the employee experience of training, learning, and development. Led the vision, development, and execution of RAC’s training programs aimed at the retainment, enrichment, and upskilling of team members.
- Played a key role in opening RAC’s first tankless water heater manufacturing plant in the United States in Griffin, Georgia. Hired 300+ new associates. The entire organization more than doubled in size during this time, creating the need for this strategic role.
- Developed a full employee lifecycle Leadership Training Program.
- Spearhead Rinnai America’s efforts to be selected as a “2023 Top Workplaces USA” by Energage.
- Reimagined the onboarding process to create less friction and decrease the time to full productivity.
- Introduced the company to Microsoft Viva Goals, which helped align and streamline project planning, objectives, and key results. Implemented this on the HR team with great results.

Vice President, Employee Development

- Served as the senior IT leader at Rinnai America since 2004 when they had 45 employees. Promoted from IT Manager to Director of IT in June 2008, then to Senior Director in August 2018, and finally to VP in May 2020.
- Grew Rinnai’s technology and team to match the pace of the business. Played a key role in the growth of the company from 45 to 700+ employees and grew revenues 10x.
- Joined the Executive Leadership Team in 2018. During this time, oversaw technology planning for Rinnai America’s new headquarters and Rinnai America Manufacturing (RAM), which included world-class AV technologies. 
- Conceived and implemented the Rinnai cloud-based technology strategy during this time: Any time; any place; any device. This was critical for transitioning to WFH at the onset of the pandemic.
- Directed the expansion of the IT team, chose and implemented an ERP system, and created and executed the technology plans for Rinnai’s branch office expansion strategies in California, Florida, and Texas.
- Led the IT dimension to open new distribution centers Reno, Nevada and Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
- Became one of the official Culture Champions at Rinnai America in 2019 and became a Certified Facilitator in the Culture Partners (OZ) Curriculum. Their human industrial-organizational psychological methods activate organizations to achieve results, year after year, by connecting experiences, beliefs, and actions.
- After a worldwide review of all Rinnai companies, Rinnai America was recognized as the most progressive regarding IT. Advanced technology improved safety, quality, productivity, customer service, and profitability.
- Recognized as a Georgia ORBIE Awards Corporate Finalist for 2021 “CIO of the Year” by GeorgiaCIO, the preeminent leadership network for chief information officers in Georgia.

- Built the IT function from the ground up in the “frontier” days of the modern internet.
- Developed a multifunctional team that supported the stellar growth of this award-winning firm, which would become one of the top ranked digital enablement firms in the United States.
- Managed infrastructure, from expansion in the original facility in Cambridge, to the new, state-of-the-art office space in The Arsenal in Watertown. Opened Molecular’s first and only branch office and remote facility in downtown Manhattan, blocks from the World Trade Center.

Counterpoint was a pioneer in subscription services on the internet, especially the publication of federal regulations.

- Hired as a data entry specialist; used earnings to help pay college expenses. Quickly promoted to a role in IT. 
- Less than a year later, promoted to IT Manager until the company was bought and merged with Thomson Reuters. Maintained assets (both physical and digital) during the acquisition, and then shut down the physical company after the transition was completed.
