As founder and CEO of my own SaaS startup, Casted, I raised $13 million across three rounds of venture funding. I created a new category in B2B marketing, built a multi-million-dollar business, and led enterprise deals with Salesforce, HubSpot, IBM, Gong, and dozens of other B2B brands and VC firms — all during one of the most volatile periods in tech. (Looking at you: Covid, SVB collapse, workplace culture, and wild shifts in economic and political climates.)

Before that, I was Global VP of Brand and Content and Director of Marketing for North America at a global tech company. I launched a global brand, event, and content strategy that directly preceded the company’s acquisition by SAP. (Go ahead and try to tell me brand doesn't matter.)

I’ve also worked with iconic brands like LinkedIn, L’Oréal, Intel, and Drift — always focused on turning bold ideas into human-centered brands that people know, like, trust, and buy from.

My career has always been defined by one thing: human-centered brands as a strategic driver of business growth.

Today, I work with early-stage founders who want that same brand clarity from the start. I help them embrace their vision, define their purpose, and build personal brands that function as business strategy. My work isn't based on trends or theory, but on hard-won experience.

I’ve been featured in Forbes, TechCrunch, NPR, and Entrepreneur. I’ve appeared on 500+ podcasts and spoken on stages around the world, including SXSW and INBOUND. I also co-lead a global community of more than 1,100 executive GTM women: Women of Pavilion.

It was a joke. Can't you take a joke? You're overreacting. Why don't you smile more?

You've been there. I've been there. 
It happens to executive teams and hockey teams
It may come from your boss, your colleagues, or your president.
On behalf of your country or your community.

But none of that will ever make it OK. 
Making light of the achievements of women is not funny. It's not a joke and I'm not laughing. And if you are - that says a lot more about you than it does about me.

When will we stop belittling the achievements of women? Calling them cute, less-than, or good ...for a woman? 
When will we stop excusing the bad behavior, emotional tirades, and immature unprofessionalism of so many men in leadership positions they should not hold (and, yes, some women - and no, not all men) while simultaneously pointing to women as emotional, weak, too nice but also too bitchy, and generally not-quite "enough"? 

When will we stop being told to smile more? To take a joke? To relax? To not be so sensitive? 

When will there be consequences for the "jokes", the comments, the belittling. When will the ascension of these bros in spite of their foolishness, lack of EQ, and general mysogenistic crappiness end? 

*sigh*

And I'll leave you with my personal favorite from when I was the CEO and founder of my own company. Someone (he knows who he is) said to me in response to a situation when I was angry as I questioned his behavior, "I don't want to be a stereotypical man telling you're being a crazy woman, but, Lindsay, you're being crazy." 

I wasn't being crazy. I wasn't being emotional. I being aware and I was right. 
And I was justified in my anger then as so many others are today. 

Make it stop.

Director Account Payable

Led team responsible for the implementation and stabilization of multiple Oracle and SAP based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Served as trusted, independent advisor to DFAS Leadership in Senior Executives Service (SES) for ERP stabilization. Provided strategic and administrative leadership to the Agency ERP efforts.

Director Enterprise Readiness Office (ERO)

Supported Client Executive in Operational matters for the U.S. Army General Fund Enterprise Business Systems (GFEBS). Provided executive-level support and recommendations to DFAS and Army Senior Leadership in a fast-paced and highly demanding environment.

Supervisor, General Funds Enterprise Business Systems (GFEBS) ERO Team

Led efforts of developing and implementing the Contingency Operations Reporting and Analysis Service (CORAS), the Department of Defense (DoD) contingency reporting system. The deployment of CORAS improved the process for capturing and reporting contingency data, improved reporting accuracy, and addressed audit findings.

Lead Accountant (Systems)

Participated in systems development, deployment, training, and support of Commercial off- the Shelf (COTS) system, Software Application and Products (SAP). SAP was implemented as the Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) for the Army Working Capital Fund (AWCF).

System Accountant, Logistics Modernization Program

Participated in the Entry Level Professional Accountant Program addressing multiple DFAS organizational aspects and responsibilities. Served as Team Lead of the Debt Management Team. Developed training, Microsoft Access Tools for debt processing and data conversion. Facilitated the debt management notification and accounting process through the creation of a Microsoft Access Tool. Served as a Subject Matter Expert in the deployment of the Logistics Modernization Program (LMP). Developed training and data conversion methodology in support of LMP deployments.
