The upside of remote work that nobody talks about.

When my train to Hamburg was delayed by an hour over New Year's, I didn't waste time complaining. I found a nearby bakery, ordered a tea, and got some work done. ☕

This is the side of remote work that deserves more attention.

Everyone's heard the sceptics ask:
"What if remote workers are just relaxing at the beach instead of working?"

But here's the flip side:
What if your remote workers turn an unexpected delay into productive time? 🤷‍♂️

It comes down to motivation.
💪Give motivated people flexibility, and they'll find ways to deliver.
👎 Give unmotivated people the same flexibility, and... well, you can guess the outcome.

My 2025 goals reviewed, and what I'm aiming for in 2026.

I hit 4 out of 6 of my yearly goals for 2025.

💪 I trained consistently and completed my first triathlon.
🧠 I turned my business around, though not through YouTube as I'd planned.
❤️ While I didn't spend a full month in a new country, I did spend several months exploring new places.

2025 was tougher than I expected, but I'm proud of where I ended up.

For 2026, here's what I'm working toward:

💪 After dealing with serious health issues the past few years (facial paralysis, mystery virus), my priority is prevention.

🧠 Business-wise, I want to build on the momentum from 2025 and launch more projects I'm excited about, all with clear KPIs to track progress.

❤️ I'm also building a daily journaling habit and making space for a real week of vacation (without my laptop).

I'm posting this partly to hold myself accountable, but I'm also curious: how do you approach goal-setting? Do you review publicly, keep it private, or skip the whole exercise?

Goals 2025 and 2026

I built a new tool over the holidays.

It's wild what's possible with AI these days. 🚀

When working with my LinkedIn clients, my main goal is simple: get them more leads.
Let's be honest, that's why most of us are here.

To deliver results, I write posts, help with comments, send connection requests, analyse performance... 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗺𝘆 𝗲𝘆𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻.

That last part? It delivers incredible returns.
People engaging with your competitors are already interested in what you offer.

So I built a tool to track exactly that: an engagement tracker that shows you who's paying attention to your competition.

What sounded like a massive project turned into a fun holiday challenge:
✅ Front-end built - easy
✅ SQL database configured - done
✅ Domain purchased - 10 min
✅ Login system created - no problem
✅ Data pipeline working - (ok this was a headache, but) also done

As a kid, I'd get a new PlayStation game at Christmas and obsess over it during the holidays. Turns out vibe coding is just the adult version of that.
