For 10 years, Carl Richards wrote The Sketch Guy column for the New York Times. He built a bestselling book, a thriving advisory practice, and became peers with people like Seth Godin and Dan Heath. 

All through minimalist visuals that simplified complex financial concepts. 

But Carl wasn't a doodler. He had no art background. 

So how did a financial advisor with no artistic ability become The Sketch Guy?
