It's a great honor and pleasure for me to be able to do this kind of episode with two of my favorite people in the AI community: Sebastian Raschka and Nathan Lambert. They are both widely-respected machine learning researchers & engineers who also happen to be great communicators, educators, writers, and X posters.

Pixelaitor

Built as part of the Entelect Tech Accelerator 2023 startup incubator program, Pixelaitor is web application hosted on AWS services that generates pixel-perfect colour maps of any image which can then be used as a blueprint to create an artwork based on pixelation, such as a handmade Persian rug or a beaded tapestry. Our software saves our client, Crayon Artel, up to $300 and a month of labour per blueprint.

Software engineer in a team building back-end Java systems for the commercial/juristic segment of one of the largest banks in South Africa. Our systems enable businesses to open new banking accounts and apply for, and take up, credit offers through the online banking or mobile app channels. I’ve been a part of the successful release of three greenfield projects ranging from 2-10 months long, migrating key business banking products from older, paper-based systems onto the digital banking platforms.

Software Engineer

The Entelect boot-camp consists of daily lectures and assignments on a wide range of topics. We built two full stack applications for a fictional comic book store: an Angular admin portal with a .Net back-end, and an Android e-commerce application with a Java back-end. In small teams of recent graduates, we were tasked to perform the entire system analysis, as well as implement the end-to-end solutions.
