I’ve been quiet on LinkedIn… because the last eight weeks have completely transformed my life.

I haven’t posted since December, and stepping into February now, it feels like the right moment to share what’s been happening behind the scenes- because it has been a whirlwind.

Relocating to the Philippines has been the biggest shift of my career so far. 

I’ve been able to shake the hands of team members I’ve worked with remotely for over two years, and even meet Madeleine Docot- a remote specialist I started my career with in Australia more than four years ago. A surreal, full-circle moment.

January became a record-breaking month for Shore Link.

Demand for our expertise has been unprecedented, and even while working UK hours (5pm-5am PH time), the momentum since landing here has been unlike anything we’ve experienced before.

Thank you to every partner, client, and member of our team who has recognised my commitment to this mission and chosen to be part of it.

It’s because of you that I'm so revved up every day to show up and give my best to create as much success as possible for everyone we work with.

We’re now in discussions with multiple office providers here to open the new Shore Link Talent Hub- allowing us to finally offer in-person staffing solutions alongside our remote model. 

This is a milestone I remember dreaming of during long days working alone back in my Devon office.

Two weeks ago, my dad flew out to visit.

Walking him through our BGC office and showing him the life and business I’ve built from scratch was one of the proudest moments of my life.

It made every late night and early morning feel worth it.

Over the coming months, I’ll be sharing a lot more of the real, behind-the-scenes journey of building Shore Link from the Philippines- the wins, the challenges, and the lessons that come with scaling a company 7,000 miles from home.

This story is far too good to keep to myself, and I hope it brings value to anyone building something of their own.
