Wednesday Women began as a ripple in 2023 as a small, intentional effort to elevate executive women. We amplify women’s voices on LinkedIn, on stages, on podcasts, not as polished personas, but as their real, remarkable selves (the woman behind the title). I’ve been seeing a trend….
more women walking away from corporate life to go fractional, consult, or build their own thing.

And I get it.
I did too.

At some point, I realized I’m “consciously unemployable”. 

That’s a choice. 

Not because I can’t play the corporate game (well actually if you know me, I can’t 🤣), but because I finally saw how much of it was built on rules that were never written for us. And I was done building others’ dreams.  

As Sarah Allen-Short wrote,  

“Liberal feminism didn’t ruin the workplace. It exposed it.”

What we’re watching isn’t women giving up. It’s women waking up.

“Lean In” taught women to play the old game. This era’s about building a new one.

When you realize the system was never designed for you, you start creating something better.

AI can’t invent weird. It can’t really do different. This is still where humans have the competitive advantage 

Think about Apple’s “1984” ad.
Or, Coinbase’s random bouncing QR code.

No robot’s out here dreaming those up. 

Those ideas hit because they were so human. Unexpected. Odd.
The kind of weird that makes you stop scrolling and go, “Wait, what?”

That’s what AI can’t fake.

It can totally take your ideas and scale them. But if what you feed it is already kinda basic… it’s just going to spit out more basic.

What’s that mean for us humans? Creativity actually matters more now. Because AI’s like this giant volume knob. Whatever you give it, it just cranks it up.

Bottom line: The magic happens when a human is brave enough to think weird.

I am not worried about someone not hiring me for having morals and ethics like believing:

racism, misogyny, transphobia, or any other bigotry is bad

universal healthcare is good and is a human right

food and housing is a human right

no one working full-time should be struggling to take care of themselves and their families

science is more important than anyone's (including my own) feelings and faith

just because you wouldn't get an abortion that doesn't mean you get to tell others what they can or cannot do with their bodies

billionaires shouldn't exist, and yes, that includes Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, and Rihanna as much as I don't like admitting that

emotional intelligence, political literacy, the scientific method, personal finance, and basic life skills should be mandated courses taught in schools

second and third-languages should be required to learn in The United States with the freedom to choose from at least 1 major language and 1 "any other language"

disowning your child for being trans or queer is disgusting

being polyamorous is not any more or less NSFW than monogamy

neurodivergent people are valuable assets, not liabilities: we think differently, not incorrectly. the issue isn't us, the issue is society isn't built to include us

mental health is just as important, if not more important, than physical health

a good alternative or transitional state to universal basic income would be a negative income tax system

socialism is not synonymous with communism. literally anything funded in part or in full by tax dollars is by definition socialism, so you can't say you're against it if you've ever driven on a public road, walked on a public sidewalk, or attended a public school

diversity, equity, and inclusion does not mean skipping safety checks or lowering the standards of qualifications and never has.

emotional abuse should be treated no differently than physical abuse by the justice system and should be measured and monitored exclusively science-backed definitions of those terms

trans people and queer people are not new and have existed longer than the concepts of gender ever have

race makes up less than one ten-thousandth of a human's DNA.... really? that's what you're fighting about?

no one actually likes white castle's food, it's a rental, not a purchase

the USA should have mandatory voting

an opinion and an incorrect belief are two different things. people shouldn't be allowed to say something is their opinion when its actually just incorrect information.

I stopped laughing and started updating my LinkedIn.

Remember when "Social Media Manager" wasn't a real job? Those people who laughed are poor now.

Emotional Intelligence Architect 
- Maps emotional journeys, not customer journeys. Figures out your checkout triggers abandonment anxiety at step 3. ($250-400K)

AI Whisperer 
- Makes AI sound like your smartest friend, not Wikipedia having a stroke. Anthropic's paying $335K for this.

Visibility Alchemist 
- SEO for AI. Makes ChatGPT cite you instead of your competitor. ($175-300K because 90% of AI citations come from search positions 21+, not top 5)

GTM Engineer 
- Treats customer acquisition like distributed systems. Clay's 6x growth last year? These people. ($200-325K)

Emotional Data Scientist 
- Turns feelings into SQL queries. Figured out Tuesday sadness predicts Thursday purchases. ($175-325K)

Your English degree? Suddenly worth $200K. 

Your philosophy minor? That's your secret weapon. 

Time "wasted" on Reddit learning how people think? Congrats, you're qualified.

How to get these jobs before they exist:

Take the 4th (2x current salary)

McKinsey says demand for emotional skills will grow 26% by 2030. But these jobs are hiring NOW. They just don't know what to call them yet.
Be the person who tells them.

The Jobs That Don't Exist Yet (But Will Pay $300K Next Year)

I am never offended if your pet interrupts our call.

I'm offended if you don't show me the pet.

Am I cocky or am I just a 31 year old who spent 29 years of their life not knowing they have a personality disorder, autism, and ADHD and therefore didn’t get the support or love they needed because society was not built for people like me and is finally for the first time ever actually doing very, very well mental heath wise; for more than a year, consistently, and is making quiet yet huge moves that they’re excited to tell everyone about very soon, and is genuinely enjoying life and actually likes themselves for the first time ever because they actually know who they are now and accept that about themselves and because my (I’m the “they”) brain just works on a different operating system than the way society was built for? 

It’s like working with a Mac while everyone else has a Windows but taking 29 years to go “oh that’s why I don’t understand and these things keep happening this way, I’m using the wrong OS.”

And then realizing you’re not wrong, you’re different 

And then realizing that for 29 years you didn’t think you were different, you believed you were wrong

So yeah. I’m cocky. 

I’ve earned it.

I had a potential client tell me that they didn't want to hire a fractional CMO for $10k-15k/mo per brand they own, totalling $20k-30k/mo because they claim they can find a full-time CMO for one brand for less than the price of a fractional CMO.

That's literally not how math works.

Me at a gay bar last night… my friend: “Trump being our first out(ed) LGBTQ+ President was not on my BINGO Card.”

Me, a fellow Gay™️: “Really? With that much gender affirming care? Between the Jersey Shore look, the cheap wig, an Vance’s eyeliner, we all know who’s having the ice salad and who’s ordering the steak, if you know you know, wink wink nudge nudge.”

Me: “See? Even we spit. Donnie Josephine Trump sure as h*ll doesn’t.”

Look. I’m not working with people who support Donald Trump or what he’s doing to this country. Period.

This isn’t politics anymore. It’s about human rights, decency, and basic survival.
We’ve watched him publicly threaten to hold food assistance hostage by telling 42 million people who rely on SNAP that full benefits come only “when the Radical Left Democrats open up government.” Two federal judges ordered his administration to keep SNAP running; the administration still moved to only partially fund the month and warned of delays. States and food banks are scrambling to keep families fed. That’s cruelty as leverage. 

We’ve watched “law and order” morph into punishment politics: ICE tactics, mass detentions and deportations, even a journalist deported after 100 days in ICE custody. We’ve seen courts stepping in over aggressive federal tactics in cities. Free speech isn’t free if the price is your visa, your job, or your safety.

We’ve watched attacks on the press and protest rights: new rules restricting White House press access, crackdowns around the country, and millions taking to the streets because people feel their voices are being squeezed.

We’ve watched him talk about using lethal force without Congress by boasting that he doesn’t need a declaration of war and saying, on camera, “we’re just gonna kill people” bringing drugs into the country. That should scare anyone who cares about the Constitution or basic human life.

And yes, there are still-unfolding revelations about Epstein’s finances. Senate Finance ranking member Ron Wyden has pressed DOJ with new “follow-the-money” leads; reporting shows prosecutors probed Epstein for money-laundering alongside the sex-crimes investigation. Meanwhile, the House fight over seating Arizona’s Adelita Grijalva became entangled with a discharge petition to force a vote to release Epstein-related files — Democrats argue the delay blocked that petition; Speaker Johnson says the delay wasn’t about Epstein at all. However you slice it, the public deserves the full record. Sunshine is not optional.

So no, I’m not taking money from people who cheer this on. If you still support him, you’re not “just voting your conscience.” You’re enabling cruelty and chaos.

I don’t want your money.
I don’t want your business.
I don’t want your energy anywhere near my work.

My work is about empathy, connection, and truth. Building things that lift people up. Not helping anyone profit from hunger, fear, or intimidation.

This isn’t me being “political.” This is protest. This is refusing to pretend that cruelty is just another strategy.

If that offends you, we’re not a fit and you're not even in the proximity of meeting the basic criteria to consider yourself a minimally decent human being. I won't say I wish you harm, but I sure as hell can't say I wish you well either.

If it makes you feel seen, we probably are a fantastic fit.

Politics is "how should we fund healthcare" or "how should we fund college"

Human rights is "who gets to get affordable access to equal, high quality healthcare" and "who gets to get affordable access to equal, high quality education"

Know the difference.

Ready isn't a feeling, it's a choice.

Do your due diligence, sure, but you do not have to have it all figured it out. 

Launch that business, get it wrong, reiterate, get the feedback, churn that customer, drop that ball, live and learn.

Being ready doesn't mean you won't make mistakes.

Being ready means you're deciding that you need to allow yourself to do your best, which means you will make mistakes, and you will learn from those mistakes, and you will keep doing this til the day you die.

You got this, boo.

Someone respectfully asked me why my content bounces back and forth between marketing and business content to political content these days. Maybe my answer will help you if you get asked the same:

I'm very fortunate to have built a following.

I'm by far not an A-list celebrity by any means.

On the categorization, I'd say I'm R-list at best, in terms of how much reach I can get with my little slice of the internet.

I know that by having a following, I have an opportunity to do things with it, even if it's a meager amount, as whatever amount it is, it is still more than nothing.

Some people donate their time, money, and resources to stand up for what they believe in.

and don't get me wrong, I do those things, too.

But in the world we're in where human rights are under attack as well as the foundations of democracy are under immense strain, speaking up and being loud about what is fundamentally correct, pragmatic, and human-first is one of the most powerful things we can do other than vote.

I am so grateful to be in a situation where I can literally afford to lose clients over what I say.

I can afford to protect myself and deal with the inevitable parade of stupid and hate that comes with being an extremely loud, queer, neurodivergent man on the internet. 

Not everyone has that.

I will use whatever I can whenever I can to do my part.

We all have ways we can contribute.

This is one of many.

and it just so happens to be a way I can.

Find your own way and take care of you, boo.

A lot of founder-led companies stall out for one simple reason: They hire Business Development before they build Marketing. BD is not a band-aid for founder burnout, folks... it is a scaling function. Marketing is the prerequisite.

If you don’t have:
• positioning
• ICP
• a narrative
• content
• demand-gen
• enablement
• a POV

…BD will fail.

I have zero success stories of the “BD first, marketing later” model working. Not one.

It’s a sequencing issue.

Your decisions determine whether you grow — or stall.

I don’t talk about doing marketing in my content because I do marketing as my content. 

Which marketer do you want to hire?

Someone who tells you how or someone or does it?

I don’t ask how you found me when you book a meeting with me because I don’t know how. 

I ask how you found me when you booked a meeting with me because I was already pretty sure I knew how, I was making sure my marketing was working as expected. 

That’s the difference. 

Don’t forget that this difference the next time you go looking for the cheapest marketer over the right marketer. 😉
