They outdid themselves - again 👏

Mango just published a new AI campaign, and there’s one thing that really stands out to me:

They definitely didn't go for simple or easy!

They’re clearly challenging themselves here, and it shows. I love the Paris vibe. It feels very Paris to me, and when you choose a place that recognizable in an AI campaign, getting the details right suddenly matters a lot more. 

Mango could easily have placed these models in a more generic setting and made life simpler for themselves, but they didn’t take that route.

Maybe more importantly, we’ve got two AI models in the same shot, wearing two sets of AI generated outfits that are not just inspired by real products, but identical twins of items actually for sale. If you know anything about building AI campaigns like this, you know how hard that is to pull off well. Once again, they didn’t choose the easy option.

There’s also a close-up, and the skin texture holds up. It doesn’t have that plasticky look a lot of AI still struggles with. Fabric texture looks solid too, and that’s not trivial when you’re dealing with everything from flowy satin to denim to knits in the same campaign. You can tell a lot of effort went into getting those details right. (And of course, if those details are off, we all know what happens next with returns!)

Bottom line, Mango has been publishing AI campaigns for about a year and a half now, and it shows. They know what they’re doing, they’re producing some of the strongest AI campaigns in the industry, and they keep pushing themselves instead of settling. I respect that, especially knowing they’re building this with an internal team and not treating AI like a cheap shortcut.
