• Implementing DiskANN Paper (disk-based approximate nearest neighbor search) in Go

ML Systems Engineer

• Accelerated vector distance calculations by 10x and improved overall indexing and query performance of the database by 30% by leveraging SIMD instructions in C and Assembly (view code on GitHub)
• Expanded partnership between NVIDIA and Weaviate by creating Go API for cuVS C library in collaboration with NVIDIA
• Generated 44,000 page visits by creating full-stack web applications using Next.js/React such as
quotefinder.weaviate.io and Jupyter Python notebooks to demonstrate use cases of the Weaviate vector database
• Improved industry understanding and competitor awareness by conducting performance benchmarks and load testing of competing vector databases in comparison to Weaviate
