And listening carefully.

🧧 Chinese New Year is over.

Your sales targets didn’t pause.

Most sales meetings are a waste of time.

I know.

Because I used to sit through them.

When I was a salesperson, our company flew the entire sales team into HQ every month.

Flights. Hotels. Full-day meetings.

The company invested a lot of money.

We invested a lot of time.

And yet, many of us quietly felt the same thing:
This isn’t productive.

Why?

Because the entire day was mostly:
• Going around the room giving updates
• Reporting numbers that were already in the system
• Listening to long presentations
• Very little real coaching

We left with more slides.

But, not clearer decisions.
→ The same stuck deals remained stuck.
→ The same weak strategies remained weak.

And next month, we repeated it again.

That’s when I realised:
A sales meeting should not be a reporting session.

If your CRM already shows the numbers,
the meeting should focus on what the numbers don’t show.

High-performing sales meetings do three things:
1️⃣ They challenge assumptions behind key deals
2️⃣ They coach strategy in real time
3️⃣ They force clear decisions before people leave the room

If no behaviour changes after the meeting,
the meeting was theatre.
Not leadership.

Sales meetings should create momentum, not maintain routine.

After sending the website structure PDF to quite a number of founders and business owners this week, I noticed something interesting.

Most websites don’t have a 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰 problem.

They have a 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 problem.

Most websites don’t fail because of design.

They fail because of 𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗽𝘆𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴.

The homepage usually talks about:
• The company history
• How long the business has existed
• Awards and certifications

But the visitor is usually thinking something much simpler:
“𝘊𝘢𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘷𝘦 𝘮𝘺 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘮?”

Within the first few seconds, your website should answer 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆:
1️⃣ What problem do you solve
2️⃣ Who is it for
3️⃣ What should I do next

If visitors have to figure it out themselves, they usually leave.

This applies not only to websites.

It also applies to:
• Company profiles
• Sales decks
• LinkedIn profiles
• Marketing brochures

Clarity converts.

Confusion kills interest.

Sometimes, improving sales results is not about more traffic.

It’s about clearer messaging.

Well, not actual voices...I'm not losing it. I'm talking about the mental noise.⁣

The endless loop of considerations, contingencies, what-ifs. Scenarios playing out simultaneously. Arguments I'm having with myself about decisions that don't even need to be made yet.⁣

It's exhausting.⁣
⁣

While most people think overthinking is something to eliminate/ cure...I disagree.⁣
⁣
To me, overthinking is critical thinking without a target. ⁣
⁣
And critical thinking itself is one of your greatest assets.⁣

The problem isn't that you think too much. It's that your thinking has no direction.⁣
⁣
In my experience, there are 4 types of "thinkers".⁣
⁣
1. The Zombie⁣
- No plan, no hustle. Just reacting to whatever comes. Life is happening to them.⁣
⁣
2. The Hustler⁣
- All action, no strategy. They know where they want to go, but they're throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks.⁣
⁣
3. The Spiraler (a.k.a. The Overthinker)⁣
- Constantly thinking, but it's spinning without purpose. Analysis paralysis. Burning out from mental loops that go nowhere.⁣
⁣
4. The Strategic Executor⁣
- Clear on the outcome. Thinking deeply, but it's all aimed at making the right moves to get there.⁣
⁣
⁣
The difference comes down to two things: how much critical thinking you're using, and whether it's pointed at a clear target.⁣
⁣
⁣
What helped me to move from #3 to #4:⁣

I gave my thinking a target.⁣
⁣
Before I analyze anything now, I ask "What is this thinking FOR?"⁣
⁣
"What outcome am I driving toward? What does "done" look like?"⁣
⁣
Intention first. Then thinking. Not the other way around.⁣
⁣
⁣

I got it out of my head.⁣
⁣
Our mind can't solve what it can't see clearly.⁣
⁣
When something's looping, I brain dump. Messy, unfiltered, raw. I pour it all onto paper: every angle, fear, scenario.⁣
⁣
Once it's out, I can see the patterns, make connections and organise.⁣
⁣
It helped me see which thoughts were solving real problems and which were just fear loops.⁣
⁣
You can't do that when it's swirling in your head.⁣
⁣
And when everything stays trapped in your head, that's what makes it feel so heavy.⁣
⁣
⁣

I broke everything into projects.⁣
⁣
Having one massive thought-cloud is suffocating. But with separate projects, each with a clear outcome and "done" definition, it's much more breathable.⁣

Each gets a specific outcome, decision point and deadline to ship (even if imperfect).⁣
⁣
This also forces completion instead of endless refinement.⁣
⁣
⁣
⁣
