🧧 Chinese New Year is over.

Your sales targets didn’t pause.
Your competitors didn’t slow down.
And Q1 is more than halfway.

The first 10 working days after a festive break
quietly determine how the next 90 days will unfold.

Here’s the uncomfortable truth:

Most sales meetings are a waste of time.

I know.

Because I used to sit through them.

When I was a salesperson, our company flew the entire sales team into HQ every month.

Flights. Hotels. Full-day meetings.

The company invested a lot of money.

We invested a lot of time.

And yet, many of us quietly felt the same thing:
This isn’t productive.

Why?

Because the entire day was mostly:
• Going around the room giving updates
• Reporting numbers that were already in the system
• Listening to long presentations
• Very little real coaching

We left with more slides.

But, not clearer decisions.
→ The same stuck deals remained stuck.
→ The same weak strategies remained weak.

And next month, we repeated it again.

That’s when I realised:
A sales meeting should not be a reporting session.

If your CRM already shows the numbers,
the meeting should focus on what the numbers don’t show.

High-performing sales meetings do three things:
1️⃣ They challenge assumptions behind key deals
2️⃣ They coach strategy in real time
3️⃣ They force clear decisions before people leave the room

If no behaviour changes after the meeting,
the meeting was theatre.
Not leadership.

Sales meetings should create momentum, not maintain routine.

After sending the website structure PDF to quite a number of founders and business owners this week, I noticed something interesting.

Most websites don’t have a 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰 problem.

They have a 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 problem.

Most websites don’t fail because of design.

They fail because of 𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗽𝘆𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴.

The homepage usually talks about:
• The company history
• How long the business has existed
• Awards and certifications

But the visitor is usually thinking something much simpler:
“𝘊𝘢𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘷𝘦 𝘮𝘺 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘮?”

Within the first few seconds, your website should answer 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆:
1️⃣ What problem do you solve
2️⃣ Who is it for
3️⃣ What should I do next

If visitors have to figure it out themselves, they usually leave.

This applies not only to websites.

It also applies to:
• Company profiles
• Sales decks
• LinkedIn profiles
• Marketing brochures

Clarity converts.

Confusion kills interest.

Sometimes, improving sales results is not about more traffic.

It’s about clearer messaging.
