Cyril Sweett Group PLC

In 2001, I joined Cyril Sweett Group Plc to head up its International business. At that time the company had one office outside the UK with four people in Paris. When I left the company 10 years later in 2011 the Cyril Sweett Group employed over 2,400 people in 44 offices in 18 countries across North America Europe, Middle East, India, South East Asia and Australia. 

During the 10 years at the company I was a member of the main Board of Directors of Cyril Sweett Group Plc at the time the Board decided to float the company on the London Stock Exchange’s Alternative Investment Market (‘AIM’) in 2007.

The experience of having lived overseas (in Asia and North America) for six years prior to joining Cyril Sweett was extremely beneficial as I was able to use my international knowledge and a wide range of my global contacts to help develop and implement a successful strategy for international growth at the company.

In addition, I set up and actively led the Global Client Key Account process at the Cyril Sweett Group which involved working internationally with many of the Fortune 500 companies across a wide range of sectors including banking, media/communications and hotels/hospitality.
