As a fractional CFO I use the 10+ years I spent working IN a law firm to help law firm owners gain an in-depth understanding of their firm’s financial picture. 

I am on a mission to help law firm owners become confident in their law firm finances. When firm owners have big financial goals, the first step to reaching those goals is making strategic financial decisions.

I started as a legal assistant and worked my way up through the “law firm ranks”. I know how a law firm runs day to day. When you hire me as your fCFO I bring my financial expertise and my law firm operational experience to our meetings. 

I love working with law firms because they are unique in the small business world. Revenue can be a roller coaster and expenses are unique to law firms.

Whether it’s medical malpractice, personal injury, or another type of case that involves medical records, working with a legal nurse consultant can save your firm time and money!  Registered Nurses are thoroughly scouring and creating medical records everyday they are in a hospital or clinic setting.  This is their thing, it’s what they do!  Now they are directing their knowledge and critical thinking in a different direction. Instead of caring for the patient within the medical setting, they are caring for the patient in a legal setting. 
1. Assessment of case merit. A lot of resources can be lost pursuing a case that has no merit.  With a Legal Nurse Consultant reviewing the medical records and creating reports, this helps attorneys decipher early on whether a case has merit to move forward or not.
2. Save valuable time when the Legal Nurse Consultant organizes the medical records into easy-to-read chronologies and fact summary reports. These reports have definitions, pictures, illustrations and even research articles to help you further understand or support complicated diagnoses. This allows attorneys to spend more time on the litigation aspect of the case.
3. Organization is what they excel at!  Legal Nurse Consultants streamline the hundreds to thousands of pages of medical records into a clear picture of the case.  We like to say that we take all the different pieces of the medical records and create a picture that the attorneys can clearly see and use.
4. Hidden Gems are in the medical records. A Legal Nurse Consultant knows the standard of care and they understand medical jargon. Because of this, sometimes they even find more to the case than the plaintiff knew about, which in turn has more opportunities for higher compensations. 
5. Expert witnesses can be necessary but time consuming to find!  We will screen expert witnesses and provide attorneys with 2-3 curricula vitae of qualified candidates.  Attorneys can then choose their final expert.
