The Greater Seattle Chamber of Commerce hired me as their founding director for Private Initiatives in Public Education.   With Seattle Public Schools staff, we created school-business partnerships for 100 schools in the Seattle public school district.  The 10 high schools had one major corporation and one major hospital that developed curriculum enhancement projects, tutors, mentors, internship sponsors, and Principal Leadership Mentors.  I wrote and published the book, Doable Dozen that offered every Business School Partnership a roadmap to involvement together.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME
I was born in Montana, lived in Walla Walla, WA and attended the University of Montana, earning a bachelor’s degree in Health & Nutrition, Secondary Education, and Teaching. Later, I earned a Master’s degree in Adult and Continuing Education from University of Colorado.  As the founder of Private Initiatives in Public Education, I coordinated partnerships between businesses and schools for four large school districts, investing in learning experiences that inspire students. After a 40-year career, I am now retired and focusing on my true passion: helping others feel their best and live a vibrant, thriving life.

I live on beautiful Whidbey Island with my husband, John and enjoy visiting our three beautiful grandchildren who live in Alaska.  I enjoy our beaches, forest walks, yoga classes, meeting friends, traveling, and exploring new and exciting places.
