Most teams try and solve the bottom-of-funnel gap by creating content. 
If you’re doing this, you’re working backwards.

Most marketers are starting surface level 

“Let me create this blog post” 

But it doesn’t start with the blog itself. 

It starts with the information used to create said blog. 

So think about this as a layered actions. 

Layer 1: Cross functional communication 

The trickiest thing about bottom-of-funnel content is it requires input from each team, when most teams don’t talk to each other. If possible, carve out some time to talk to one person from each team, sales, product, CS. Creating a slack channel with one person from each team can be helpful.

Layer 2: Consistent documentation 

Those internal docs that are sitting in G workspace or spread across teams? Gather those and create a centralized knowledge base of information that you use to train AI on your product, and persona(s).

Layer 3: Bottom-of-funnel content 

Once AI is trained on your company, products and persona(s), then use that information to start creating BOFU content, knowing it’s aligned because you got input from other teams and pulling from a single source of truth.

Trying to catch up with all that happened in SEO/AI Search in the last week and all feels really 🍌🍌🍌

Here are the most critical developments and what they mean for a B2B strategy:

𝟭. 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗸𝗮 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗚𝗣𝗧 𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗕𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮

The model for calculating visibility is now split. Recent data confirms that platforms like ChatGPT pull heavily from Bing (Microsoft is a major partner, so no real surprises there), long-tail results, and zero-volume queries that aren't visible in traditional Google rank trackers. 

If you are only measuring visibility based on Google's index, you are operating with a significant blind spot regarding how AI models "see" your brand. 

You should have a Google + Bing strategy.

AI models place increasing trust in community platforms - G2 reviews, Reddit threads , Slack discussions, and niche forums. 

This represents a flip in the buyer journey - your community and peer-to-peer reputation now directly influence your AI visibility footprint. 

Mentions are truly the new backlinks.

𝟯. 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗔𝗜 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆

Iconic, trusted brands are cited more frequently by AI, regardless of their position in the traditional top-3 search rankings. 

For B2B tech, this means investing in category design, unique Points of View (POV) content, and subject-matter expertise is essential. This isn't a "nice-to-have"; it's how you signal authority to the models.

𝟰. 𝗟𝗼𝘄-𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗦𝗘𝗢 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝘂𝘁

LLMs are becoming increasingly effective at identifying and ignoring content that lacks original insight, detects content manipulation, and over-engineered SEO templates. Teams focused on leveraging genuine subject-matter experts, strong product narratives, and real use cases will be rewarded with citations and visibility.
