This has been a difficult week.

It is with an incredibly heavy heartthat I share some devastating news.

Last Saturday, we lost a client, a candidate, a colleague — and most importantly, a friend. Brian Smith passed away.

This was unexpected and deeply painful for all of us. Brian was the kind of person who showed up for others without hesitation. He was generous with his time, his support, and his friendship, and many of you experienced that firsthand. Above all else, Brian was devoted to his family, whom he loved dearly.

Thankfully, this week was the week our entire team comes together each year to plan and share. The meeting that Brian loved and thrived in delivering value like no other.

We got to spend this week together during this difficult time. 

Please keep Adrienne, Campbell, Mallory, Gabrielle, and Nick in your thoughts and prayers during this unimaginable time. They will need our support, compassion, and care in the days ahead.

Today, we share some very difficult news. 

Brian Smith — a client, colleague, and dear friend to many of us — passed away unexpectedly. 

Brian was the kind of person who showed up for others without hesitation. He was generous with his time, his heart, and his support, and his presence made everyone around him better. 

Our hearts are with his wife, Adrienne, and his children — Campbell, Mallory, Gabrielle, and Nick — as well as all who loved him.
