Two things can be true at the same time.

1. We have a killer XDR team
2. We have a killer AI SDR program

They operate in concert with one another, not competition.

🦸 Our human XDRs are account strategists, and spend a ton of time on the phone (our top converting channel). They have real sales skills, educating and selling people on the value of ClickUp and earning next steps.

We have ~30 human XDRs, who are the pipegen backbone and the talent bench for the company. 5 more just got promoted to AE this week!! They’ll continue the proud tradition of being among the top performing AEs in their segments.

🤖 Our AI SDR monitors 100+ signals across our PLG user base and automates outreach for world class speed-to-lead (internally, we call it “programmatic pipegen” by the way). It feeds the pipeline for our humans to call, qualify, and convert to next steps. 

This motion is orchestrated by 2 people. Without the AI, data science, and automations they’ve built, it would likely take 40 SDRs to operate at this scale.

We tripled XDR productivity in 6 months.

And no, we didn’t 3x the team. In fact, headcount was flat. Here’s what we did.

1. Hit the phones, hard

From ~35 calls per rep per day to ~150 (and still scaling). This isn’t just an effort thing. It’s data, operations, processes, and tooling. And, it’s training, sales skills development, and continuous coaching.

2. Automate signal monitoring

Reps used to manually monitor what was happening across their accounts. It was a major time suck, and was inconsistent across reps. Now, this is all done programmatically and the right intel is pushed to reps in their workflows.

3. Eliminate the paper cuts

Deep dives into all XDR tools and process to understand where time is lost. Nothing is too small to fix. Ensure XDRs are co-authoring and always evolving the processes we run.

4. AI everywhere

Stitching context together, powering workflows, cleaning data, creating feedback loops, automating handoffs. The list goes on and on.

We’re nowhere near done. Here’s to tripling again in 2026.

You don’t fight the city. The city works with you.

I just spent a month in Europe (Brittany + Madrid).

Best moment? Landing at Changi.

That feeling of: “I’m home” is just magic

My Singapore timeline:

2017 (Jan) — Packed my life from France 
2017 (Jan–Nov) — Rocket Internet 
2017 (Nov) — Accelerasia 
2020 (Jan) — Left Accelerasia 
2020 (Feb–Apr) — EF 
2020 (May) — Started an outbound agency with Youssef 
2020 (Jun) — Met my wife 
2023 (Mar) — Started Scalelist

2024 (Aug) — transition from Agency to SaaS
2025 (Sept) — Sold The Scalelab 
2026 (Jan) — 100% focused on Scalelist

On paper: 9 years.

In reality? Feels like a lifetime of learnings, failures, wins, friendships, and reinventions.

Deeply grateful to still be here. Genuinely excited for what’s next on this tiny island.

Sometimes you don’t choose a place. The place chooses you.

Since 2015, I’ve opened every cold call with the same line.
(And yes — it still works in 2026.) 👇 

Script:

- Prospect: “Allo?”
- Me: “John?” (or whatever your prospect’s first name is)
- Prospect: “Yes.”
- Me: “This is Arnaud from Scalelist, how are you doing?”

That’s it. Simple. Human. Natural.

From there, the replies are almost always one of these:

- “Arnaud from where?”
- “Good, and you?”
- “What is this regarding?”
- “Scale—what?”
- “Is this a cold call?”

And so on…

The secret? Repetition. You don’t get better at handling these without hearing them again and again. (I’ll break that down in another post.)

But if you want to boost your results right now:

1- Get mobile numbers from Scalelist.
2- Call on WhatsApp. People pick up more often there.
3- Smile. (Yes, they hear it in your voice.)
4- Be confident.
5- If they hang up, keep smiling. Then dial again.

Cold calling isn’t dead.

It just requires consistency, confidence, and the right opener.

Last night at 10:27 PM. Toothbrush in mouth.
A roofing company sales leader in Florida just bought a 50k credits Scalelist plan ($549/month) 👇

Why?

Because I want to understand:

- what pushed him to subscribe
- what they need beyond valid emails & mobile numbers
- how their sales + marketing teams are structured
- what their 2026 (and beyond) plan looks like
- why a company outside our top 10 industries picked one of our biggest plans

During the Christmas break, I reflected on 2025.

And I realised something simple.

What gives me the most energy isn’t dashboards or features:

It’s talking to people.

Learning how Scalelist is actually used.

- What clients love.
- What frustrates them.
- What we should do differently.
- That’s the part of the job I enjoy the most.

Very excited for 2026.

But this simple one changed how I'm starting working in 2026 👇 


Use a chess clock when I work.

- One side = real, focused work
- The other = everything else (meetings, context switching, scrolling, “being busy”)

At the end of the day, I see the truth.

Did I actually get 4 hours of deep work or not?

- It’s simple.
- It’s brutal.

I love it.

I don’t even need a physical chess clock. The price of a physical one starts at 19 USD on Amazon. 

I looked for a digital one:

1- Open the App Store
2- Search “chess clock”
3- Pick any app

That’s it.
