I almost quit what I'm best at because of the wrong clients.

Then this weekend happened.

I spoke for a room of 7, 8, and 9-figure entrepreneurs, and everything I'd started to doubt about myself got proven wrong. 

I ran live behavior profiles on people in real time. 
I audited team dynamics on the spot. 
I broke down the hidden sales psychology driving (and killing) their biggest deals.

By the end of the first session, I had a line of people with questions that didn't stop until Sunday night (and 6 requests to work with me) 

No one asked me to justify my value,
No one pushed back on my methods, 
No one made me feel like I needed to shrink what I do into something easier to swallow.

They just got it.

And it reminded me of something I'd started to forget:

A few months ago I'd taken on clients who weren't the right fit. They didn't understand what I was doing or why it worked. And slowly, quietly, I started to wonder if maybe I was the problem.

That's a dangerous place to live.

Here's what I learned: 

The wrong room will make you feel like a fraud. 
The right room will make you feel like a genius. 

Neither one is the full picture, but one of them is a lot closer to reality and produces better results.

Einstein said it best (or at least someone did, Einstein got the credit): if you judge a dolphin by its ability to climb a tree, it will spend its whole life believing it's an idiot.

There's an older version of this too: "Don't cast pearls before swine."

Both say the same thing.

Your value doesn't change based on who's in the room, but your belief in your value absolutely does.

So if you've been grinding in spaces where no one seems to get what you bring...

Where your best work gets met with blank stares or endless skepticism...

I want to ask you something before you start doubting yourself:

Are you actually bad at what you do...
Or are you just in the wrong room?

Because this weekend reminded me that the right people don't need convincing. 

They lean in. 
They ask questions. 
They want more.
