3 years ago, I was drowning...

As an RVP at a fast-growing tech company, my life had become an endless stream of:

• "Urgent" emails
• Back-to-back meetings
• And constant fire-fighting

Waking up early and working late into the night.

My phone was always buzzing with notifications.

To make matters worse, it was taking a toll on my family.

The breaking point:

Missing my son's jujitsu belt test.

Something I'd promised I wouldn't do.

That night, seeing the disappointment in his eyes, I knew something had to change.

I spent the next year obsessively learning, developing & testing different productivity systems that would allow me to:

• Still perform at a high level
• Stop feeling perpetually overwhelmed
• End working nights/weekends just to keep up

I started creating what I called "mini-systems"

Small changes that had a compounding effect.

What began as a quest to regain control of my calendar...

Evolved into an operating system that helped me recover 10+ hours every week.

More importantly, spend more time w/ family. 

I've started documenting my learnings & "mini-systems" and now share them with others through my content and weekly newsletter The Systematic Sales Leader.

My goal is to help as many sales leaders as possible avoid the same burnout I and so many others experience through tested and proven systems.

Last week was a weird + rewarding one...

4x customer SKOs the Accord crew was traveling around to
and I didn't go to 1 of them 🥲 

I usually feed off that 'on the field' energy

but maybe even more energizing were the countless texts, slacks, and emails from our partner's about how impressed they were with Shamus Cook Maggie Little Eman Abdel-Latif, CPA Treat Thompson Sanger Yoo and the rest of the Accordions who showed up and over-delivered.

it's one thing to promise something on a deal and sign on the dotted line... 

and it's another to wow partners with an impactful solution + dedicated team year-round.


Can't stay off the field too long though – double dipping next week in Nashville with the Redzone + QAD crew, then Vegas with the legends at Xactly Corp!

Tried Fitbit ages ago and took it off after a few days of nearly zero value 

Just over a week into Whoop and already a raving fan who can’t shut up about it

It’s fun. 
I’ve changed a few habits already. 

Curious to see if the intentionality from it wears off as time goes by


Extra credit to their AI beta… they assume the questions you’d ask vs hope you know what to ask at first. Very clever. 
So many ways for B2B to learn from premium B2C products like this.
