It's embarrassing to say... but I postponed publishing my first social media post for 7 years 🥲

(if you’ve been overthinking posting online – or felt like “I’m good at my work, but I don’t know how to show it” – keep reading.)

So yeah... Seven. Frigging. Years.

Not because I had nothing to say.
Not because I wasn’t good at what I did.

But because I was afraid of:

• Being judged
• Sounding stupid
• “Not being ready yet”
• Posting the wrong thing
• Being visible before I felt confident

But eventually, I realized something:

Staying invisible was costing me more than being imperfect ever could.

Opportunities. Clients. Confidence. Momentum.

I knew I was meant for more than my 9-5 could offer me, so I started posting anyway – awkwardly, imperfectly, learning as I went.

Now, 2.5 years later, I have:

✔ Published 200+ posts on social media
✔ Gained 5,000+ followers across LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube
✔ Reached 1.16 Million views

...and today, I help experts and service-based specialists do what I struggled with for years:

👉 Turn their knowledge into a clear, visible, trusted online presence

Before you do anything on LinkedIn – posting, commenting, applying for jobs, sending DMs – please make sure your profile is actually doing its job.

And no, that doesn’t mean “having something filled in every section.”

It means:

1️⃣ You’re clear on WHY you’re on LinkedIn
(new job, more clients, visibility, opportunities)
2️⃣ You know WHO your profile is meant to speak to
3️⃣ You’ve taken 1–2 focused hours to turn your profile into a digital business card, not an outdated online CV

The biggest fear people have with posting on social media (LinkedIn included) isn’t:

- Being judged
- Lack of ideas
- Lack of time

It’s actually: “What if I put in all this time and effort… and it doesn’t work out?”

I know it because that fear kept me stuck for years.

The good news is that there *is* a way to think about this that makes showing up easier – but it’s not what most people expect.

Message to my younger self 👆🏼👇🏼

I postponed publishing my first LinkedIn post for 7 years because of doubts/fears/excuses like:

- what others think of me
- I'm too young to even share my ideas
- I don't have the necessary gear to film videos
- there are far more more experienced people than me
- etc, etc, etc...

Fast-forward today, I've published over 250 posts across social media, and I help others do the same.

The only regret tho? Not starting sooner.

I am an educationist specialised in teaching kindergarten and primary school kids. This brings me the utmost joy, watching young minds and keen eyes follow your every move in their formative years. The most exciting projects in participated in were from eTwinning platform, for example Picture out of the window, 100 games for Estonian children, Travel with Flags, Where is the Love?, etc. I also teach kids to enjoy and experience nature. I am a firm believer in the Waldorf system of imparting knowledge.
