Why didn’t anyone tell me that “success hangovers” are a thing?

I always thought that delivering a big keynote or moderating a panel would leave me energized, buzzing with ideas and motivation.

Instead, I came back from an international AI conference completely drained.

Not just physically, but mentally.

Zero motivation. Foggy brain. Deep fatigue.
At first, I thought I was just being inefficient.

 But then, during a conversation at home, my husband casually said:
 "𝘚𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘥𝘳𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘭 𝘴𝘺𝘮𝘱𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘴."

Wait, what?

That one comment sent me down a rabbit hole.
And what I found surprised me even more:

Turns out, 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚 𝐦𝐚𝐣𝐨𝐫 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐩𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐱𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

But this applies to public speaking and conferences too.

And it makes total sense.

Your brain floods with dopamine before and during the event.
Your nervous system stays on high alert for days.
Once it's all over? A crash is inevitable.

🎯 𝘏𝘦𝘳𝘦'𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘐’𝘷𝘦 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰 𝘥𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘺:
- Block recovery time in your calendar after major events, even 1-2 quiet days can help.
- Don't judge the lack of motivation. It's not weakness. It's biology.
- Ease back into focus, starting with routine or low-effort tasks.
- Light movement + solid sleep actually speed up mental recovery.

So if you're feeling strangely unmotivated after something exciting - it’s not just you.
It’s part of the process.

👉 Sora 2 is the first AI tool that made me stop and think: maybe this is 𝘵𝘰𝘰 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩.

I honestly don’t know whether to be amazed or scared.
Sora 2 is the kind of model that triggers both emotions at once.

In just five days, it hit 1 million downloads, even though it’s only available in the US & Canada, and only with invites. That alone tells you how big this is going to get.

So what makes Sora 2 so unique?
▫️ Ultra-realistic visuals - motion, lighting, physics, all look real.
▫️ Integrated sound - synchronized voices, ambient sound, music.
▫️ Character consistency - people look and move the same across shots.
▫️ Cameos - you can upload your face and voice to generate your own AI version. And everyone else can use it too.
▫️ Social app - the first video generation tool that works like TikTok, where you can scroll AI videos only.

But then here’s the other side:
▫️ Ethics & identity - people’s images and voices can be used too easily.
▫️ Environmental impact - massive compute, massive carbon cost.
▫️ Reality blur – when everything looks real, what does “real” even mean?

All video clips were created with Sora 2, the music was added afterwards with Suno.
No actors, no cameras. Just AI. 

And if you don't know Kris, I can tell you that the similarity of the man in the video is disturbingly good. Usually there is always the feeling of "oh that is someone similar, but definitely not the same person". Well, not this time. 

Watch the movements, the reflections, the emotion in the faces - it’s both incredible and unsettling. (Of course you *know* that this is AI generated, but you can't always *see* it). 

Although I already have access to Sora 2 (which wasn’t easy to get, even with a VPN), I can’t create videos at this level. Prompting for videos is a whole different game compared to text and Christian has done an outstanding job, so I’m happy to share his work instead.

Day 2 of World Summit AI in Amsterdam!
And today is the day 😳

So there were some changes on Monday this week..
I was supposed to be track chair and moderate a panel. 
But like in any conference, there will be unpredictable situations. The first presentor of the track was not able to join and I suggested myself.
Of course.. Why, Gerlyn ?!

As I could not do all 3 things and I was at Tartu the same day with Marju Sokman, 
I invited Marju to join.
I know she is amazing at the stage, so she will take the place of track chair.
And I will do the first keynote 🙂
And then moderate the panel.

I am super excited. And extremely scared.

So, if you don’t mind, please keep your fingers crossed for us 😅

And of course, I will cover the 2nd day as much as I can.

📷 On the way to the conference center with a boat as it is actually just outside Amsterdam and it was faster than taking the Bolt via highway. And the weather is ☀️

I was 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 planning to take a break this time.

Switch off. Recharge.
I even set up an out-of-office and, for the first time, gave my new assistant access to my inbox, just to keep an eye on things.

So, yesterday, I got on the plane.
Landed in the evening to 31°C Sharm el Sheikh.
Got some dinner, walked around, checked the hotel.

And then… after putting kids to bed, out of habit, I opened my laptop.
(Yes, I brought it with me. One work task was planned: a small AI session for the Estonian community here, so I need my laptop)

Opened my inbox.
And what do I see?

5 emails.
Custom training requests.
Conference slide deadlines.
All due… Monday. (I should fly back Tuesday)

So much for a quiet start.

But despite that - I 𝘢𝘮 still planning to rest.
Daytime is for sunshine, swimming, diving, time with my kids.
Evenings, maybe some work, but only if I feel like it.

One thing I’ve realised, though:
To take a proper week off, you probably need the following week to be empty or less booked too.

Because when else would you prep for everything that's coming up?

Turns out, my fancy ChatGPT Business account can hallucinate harder than the free one.

On Tuesday, I shared an overview on how to start with LLMs: how to build prompts, how to edit and adjust them.

Got many supportive comments saying it’s common for them too that the first prompt never gives the best answer. Therefore you should treat LLMs like a chatbot: ask questions, make suggestions.

And of course check the results, because AI may hallucinate.
All good.

Yesterday I did a training with Association of Estonian Accountants to accountants, who wanted to start using AI more. I shared the same principles.

And when I got to the ChatGPT examples, I was blown away.

My Business account (not free, not Plus) gave me one hallucination after another.

It didn’t manage to do web search.
It didn’t read any of the files I attached.
It suggested that a company’s annual report was first Eurostat quarterly report on Estonian economy, then Meta ads and marketing overview. I have not even discussed those documents with ChatGPT..

I opened up my other free account - and it worked better.
What?!

So I explained to the group - this is okay too. LLMs are still in baby shoes. Lots of flaws.

Reminder for all of us: AI is far from perfect. 
But it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t use it.

As one participant said:
“𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘬𝘴, 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘢 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘦𝘸 - 𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘪𝘵’𝘴 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘳𝘳𝘰𝘳?”
Yep, that’s exactly it. I can guide and support, but everyone has to find their own practical use cases.

“Why do I still get boring or wrong answers from ChatGPT?”

Usually, the issue isn’t the model.
It’s the prompting.

If your results feel generic, robotic, or just plain wrong, it’s time to shift how you interact with large language models (LLMs).

Here’s where to begin:
- Be more specific with your prompts
- Ask follow-up questions
- Treat it like a conversation, not a search engine
- Fact-check outputs. Hallucinations are real
- Don’t skip security basics - know where you log in and what data you share

Part 2 of my Samsung journey 📲 
Let’s look at some of the coolest features (not all AI, but definitely clever).

I’ve been using the Galaxy Fold7 more and more in my daily work and it’s actually replacing my tablet.
The multitasking part just works.

For example, I forgot to take my tablet to AIPowerment Podcast recording and I decided to try the Fold 7. I opened up Notion on one half of the screen with questions and Google Docs on the other half with background information of the guest.
No need to jump between apps. The split screen feels like a real workspace.

Then there’s Circle to Search, just long-press the home button, draw a circle around anything on screen, and Google finds relevant information.
I used it on a slide I got from a client, circled the chart and got quick background data right there.

Gemini has also become my go-to LLM on the phone. It pops up from the corner and offers immediate screen share also. I even used it while being on the call. 

My biggest amaze - Flex Mode - fold the phone halfway and it becomes its own little stand. The top is like a screen and button is a touchpad (and mouse). That is really cool (look at the photo).

I am really hoping that the quality of my photos will improve also. I love the quality of iPhone front camera, but I am not the person, who manages to take photos without seeing the screen. And the back camera is just..meh. 
With the Fold7, I can turn on cover screen preview, meaning that I see the picture of the back camera on screen. So basically back camera quality in the front. 

Also, photo editing with AI work really well, no additional tools neede - you can basically remove everything without leaving a trace. Adding new elements isn’t perfect yet, but small edits are already super useful.

I will continue with testing in cooperation with Samsung Baltics the new AI features and I am still working on understanding the Estonian language features, but I was wondering:

On top of that, last week was packed with updates and new tools and features. Just a small peak: 
- OpenAI launched Atlas, a browser that remembers, navigates, and works autonomously. And of course, it raised some privacy flags.
- Claude memory now live: Better personalization is here, and project context is the next frontier.
- LTX-2 by Lightricks creates full 4K AI-generated video with sound up to 15 seconds. 
- Dutch artist turns Excel into generative floral art. Now showing in Tallinn!
