Sooo… I met the Avengers of LinkedIn and content creation 👀

A couple of weeks ago at DMM Conference in Zagreb, Croatia… it all went down. Luckily, there was no need to save the whole world – just the business world.

But to be fair, I really struggled to post about it 😅

• I wanted to give proper credit to each person
• It felt impossible to capture the energy in just one post
• I didn’t want to reduce it to a cliché “I'm beyond excited and honored...” kind of update

And honestly… how do you sum up meeting people you’ve looked up to for so long?

So instead of overthinking, I made a little recap video from my POV (sound on!)

...which means almost half the platform (of its 1.2 BILLION users) is competing for the same opportunities as you 😵‍💫

So the question is:

How do you stand out if you'd like to get noticed by potential employers and clients and receive more opportunities?

Here’s what I’d focus on if I only had 2 hours a week for LinkedIn👇

✅ Show up in the comments
20–30 minutes a few times a week, adding actual value to relevant posts. This builds visibility faster than most people think.

✅ Publish once a week
One thoughtful, useful post is better than zero. Quality > quantity.

✅ Refine your profile
Make sure it’s crystal clear who you help, how you help them, and why they should care.

✅ Connect with intent
Don’t just collect contacts – build relationships with people in your field.

You don’t need to spend 2 hours a day on LinkedIn. But if you spend 2 hours a week doing the right things, you’ll already be ahead of 90% of that 47%.

- Saving a post you like and find valuable for later
- Commenting with your take or supporting the author

I was about to quit LinkedIn.

But one thing kept me here that time.

Last year in September, I stopped posting here.

Because I was not getting any ROI from LinkedIn.

That time:

I was not closing any new clients.
I was not getting good impressions.
I was not chatting with my ideal clients.

But what forced me not to quit LinkedIn is:

My community. My people. My connections.

They started DMing me when I got inactive.
 
“Hey Gaurav, where are you? I don’t see your posts.”
“Hello Gaurav, I was waiting for your posts.”
“Hi Gaurav, hope all’s good on your side.”

Messages like that took my heart ❤️ 

But why am I sharing this today?

Because….

Some of you might be thinking of quitting LinkedIn.

If yes, please don’t quit. I’d request you.

LinkedIn is a long-term game, so…

Be there as a Marathon.

The ROI is great.

Today?

I work with my dream clients.
I have a strong personal brand.
I get on calls with people I want.
I’m earning more than I dreamt of.

Only because of LinkedIn. Period!

I often see creators talk about the worst thing on LinkedIn.

But what’s the best thing about LinkedIn? I’ll go first:

Building an online business is so easy here.
You just need to chat with your ideal clients.
Help solve their burning problem and close.

It’s quite easy compared to other platforms.

So if you are looking to start an online biz.
Start and build your foundation on LinkedIn.

Then go for other platforms!

This platform is helping me build a dream life.
So I can’t be more grateful to LI &  people here.

P.S. Now it’s your turn. What’s the best thing about LI?

I closed a $2477 advisor client and built a pipeline of $10K.

Here’s the exact strategy I applied. No gatekeeping!

1. Build a case study of your best client.

Write everything on a Google Doc.
Their pain points and problems.
How you solved their problem.
Give a step-by-step solution.

2. Launch that case study as a post.

Write a lead magnet post to launch.
Don’t share the case study in the post.
Tell them to comment a word & connect.
Then send the case study directly to the DM.

3. If you get a good response, then great; if not.

Then start sending messages to your ICPs.

“Hi Name, I achieved (the result) for (this client) 
And documented each step in a 5-page doc
Would you like me to share it with you?”

4. If they reply “Yes, please” then share it.

And ask “is this something you are looking for some help with?”

If not, then follow up after 3 days.
Still not, then again follow up after 3 days.
Follow-up is the key, but it should have a limit.

5. Approach them for a 15-minute strategy call.

You have to send this only to your potential clients.
And whoever access this doc, ask for a 15 mins call.
Give them flexible time slots for the current week.
If they get ready, then schedule the call manually.

6. Book another call to share the proper offer.

In the first call, you have to qualify them.
And then book another to close them.
It builds trust as you are not salesy.
Book the next call right in the meeting.

And then get on the next call within 3 days.

Close the DEAL!

It depends on you how many prospects you connect with.
Start conversations with them and then send the case study.

The lead magnet post’s result is not in your hand, but the DM is…

So make the most out of this strategy and close your next deal.

It looks easy, but I can't say it’s easy to implement. Do it anyway!

Why would someone get on a call if they don’t know me?

I get it.

No one will get on a call until the trust is built.

Here’s how I build trust in DM in 3 steps:

1. Type every message from your hands (No AI)

When you write with your hands, it feels human.
AI-written texts can be identified & ruin the trust.
So make sure you are in DM or you train someone.

2. Every message should be personalized for them

Analyze their profile to find some personalized things.
Check out their About section to find some familiarities.
If you don’t find any familiarities, then create familiarities.

3. Provide a Free resource or lead magnet that’s valuable

Everyone likes free things, and it binds them unknowingly.
I do provide a lot of free value in form of lead magnets.
This is the fastest way to build trust in DM. No doubt.
