A couple of weeks ago at DMM Conference in Zagreb, Croatia… it all went down. Luckily, there was no need to save the whole world – just the business world.

But to be fair, I really struggled to post about it 😅

• I wanted to give proper credit to each person
• It felt impossible to capture the energy in just one post
• I didn’t want to reduce it to a cliché “I'm beyond excited and honored...” kind of update

And honestly… how do you sum up meeting people you’ve looked up to for so long?

One thoughtful, useful post is better than zero. Quality > quantity.

✅ Refine your profile
Make sure it’s crystal clear who you help, how you help them, and why they should care.

✅ Connect with intent
Don’t just collect contacts – build relationships with people in your field.

You don’t need to spend 2 hours a day on LinkedIn. But if you spend 2 hours a week doing the right things, you’ll already be ahead of 90% of that 47%.

From there do personalized outreach and ads. This makes you $$$.

Then hire someone (like me) to train your internal team on how to create organic content the RIGHT way.

Save yourself $5k+ per month.

Focus on revenue generating activities.

Sell Better 💪

I was supposed to be giving a polished presentation at DC Startup + Tech Week. And then… the tech failed.

No slides. No screen.
Just me and 168+ people staring back at me.

So I took a deep breath, pulled up a stool, sat down with my audience and said:

“Let me tell you who I am.” 

No LinkedIn or sales talk.
Just the raw truth of my backstory.

And after that I looked at the room and said:
“You’re all here to learn about making money on LinkedIn. So ask me anything.”

The first guy raised his hand and said:
“Does this even work if you’re not hot… or a woman?”

I answered honestly:
“No, you might as well leave now.”

The whole room burst out laughing.
And from there it flowed.

This moment created the deepest connection I’ve ever felt with an audience.

People weren’t looking for a perfect expert.
They wanted someone real. 
Someone who’s been there.

(And mannn have I been there.)

Afterward, one of the audience members, Jennifer Mickel, sent me this kind message:

“You handled the tech delay with grace, agility, and respect for your audience’s time. It was memorable and your skills as a trainer and presenter came through clearly in the way you handled the unexpected.”

It’s always the women who send the kindest messages. I’m so grateful for this note. 💙
