👋 Hi, my name is Kris. 

I am 4’5’’ tall, and was born with dwarfism.

Doctors told my parents I would never make it.

After I survived, doctors then told my mom to place me into an institution because I’d never walk, talk, or live a “normal” life.

As you are figuring out, it didn’t turn out that way.

“Challenge accepted” has been my mantra.

So has a faith in God and His ability to help me through anything.

That has led me to …

→ Recovering from 20+ surgeries all under the age of 20
→ Graduating high school in 2001
→ Going to college
→ Teaching myself how to design, code and media production
→ Starting multiple small businesses
→ Building a career in tech as a developer and now a product manager
→ Getting married
→ Having 4 kids, 2 with dwarfism

Maybe the doctors were right about one thing, after all.

My life is far from “normal”.

And I am 💯 percent here for it.

You might say I have quite the story.

So do you.

That’s why earlier this year I decided to start sharing my story via #linkedin, one-on-one conversations, and public speaking.

Not for my own gain, but to inspire you to face and share your own stories.

Because that’s the first step to building self-confidence and the life you want.

As a keynote speaker with over eight years of experience, I focus on men’s mental health and military suicide prevention. Partnering with organizations like Oaklawn Psychiatric Center, I’ve delivered impactful public education programs, including the implementation of the Sources of Strength Suicide Prevention Program in schools. My work emphasizes collaboration, meaningful dialogue, and hope-driven action to save lives and reduce stigma.  

Having shared our family’s story nationwide, I aim to reach as many active-duty military personnel as possible, resonating deeply with audiences thanks to my personal connection to military families. My mission is to foster mental health awareness, empower communities with resources, and drive initiatives that promote resilience and prevent loss.

Have you ever watched a light go out?

Austin would have been 30 years old on Monday. 

His teammate, Evan Hansen would have been 29 yesterday. 

And Adlee Scheerer just turned 18 in December. 

Guess what they all had in common?

They were lightbulbs. 

Burning bright for everyone around them. 

Everyone knew they could go to them for help and they would always be there. 

Until they were not. 

If you have a young person in your life who is shining bright….

You need to check on them. 

Before their light goes out.

QPR is a one hour online course which teaches parents how to talk to their kids. I will attach the link below. You can never give your child the idea of taking their own life by asking them about it. But you can give them a safe space to talk when you begin the conversation.
