Managed day-to-day front-end web development needs for Tempur-Pedic’s online presence, tempurpedic.com. Worked with copywriters and designers to implement online content for interactive product landing pages, ongoing and seasonal promotions, and online web forms. Collaborated with a large and diverse team to  design, develop and release an all new and innovated web presence in November 2013.

👋 Hi, my name is Kris. 

I am 4’5’’ tall, and was born with dwarfism.

Doctors told my parents I would never make it.

After I survived, doctors then told my mom to place me into an institution because I’d never walk, talk, or live a “normal” life.

As you are figuring out, it didn’t turn out that way.

“Challenge accepted” has been my mantra.

So has a faith in God and His ability to help me through anything.

That has led me to …

My life is far from “normal”.

I was a Compliance Reporting Analyst on a team of 4 people, reporting Workers Compensation WCPOLS and WCSTATS to NCCI and independent Work Comp state bureaus for customers (insurance carriers) using Insurity software products.

Implemented Guidewire Policy Center (Property & Casualty Commercial Insurance Policy Administration System)

I was a QA Analyst on an Agile team of 12 people (onshore & offshore) to implement Guidewire Policy Center for state expansion and complex projects for Workers Compensation line of business.  Our team rolled out 12 states for Work Comp on the Guidewire platform.  

•	Collaborated with Agile scrum team in daily standups to track sprint progress and to fix defects/bugs
•	Functional Testing - software testing included policy interface, state rating & forms, and policy declarations for all transaction types (including Audits)
•	Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Rating:  mentored the team on manual WC rating rules (per WC Bureaus)
•	Yearly Work Comp state rate updates were validated by QA to ensure regulatory compliance
•	Sprint Review demos were presented to business stakeholders as part of UAT (user acceptance testing)
•	Analyzed and resolved complex defects, including defects/issues to pass WCPOLS state certifications
•	Automation & Regression Testing - wrote test plans and business test cases for each state for Work Comp; these automated regression tests were run in different environments and eliminated manual QA testing by over 50%, increasing overall QA proficiency
•	WC Pay as you Go (reporting of payroll) – stepped up as Business Analyst (in addition to QA Lead) for this UFG Underwriting initiative to increase Work Comp business opportunities; major team player for End-to-End testing (Policy Center, Billing Center, Integrations, and other downstream teams)
•	Presented demos to leadership/IT/stakeholders to showcase highlighted project accomplishments

I was a QA Analyst on a Rating team of 24 people to implement Guidewire Policy Center.  Our team was responsible for developing and testing rating premium calculations for 7 states for small business lines:  Businessowners, Cyber, Auto, Workers Compensation, and Umbrella.  

I was QA Lead for offshore Quality Assurance:
•	Led 5 offshore QA resources in India, mentoring QA on manual rating calculations to meet sprint goals and objectives
•	Held daily QA standups and working sessions to develop test plans and business test case scenarios
•	Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Rating:  mentored all team members on Rating (per ISO, NCCI and independent WC Bureau rules)

•	Developed marketing strategies for commercial renewal retention, working closely with Producers and Account Managers
•	Gathered insured renewal information, updated ACORD applications, and reviewed claims history
•	Submitted renewal quotes to selected commercial insurance companies to find the best pricing for the insured

I was a Sr. Rate Analyst on a team of 6 people who implemented 2 property & casualty commercial insurance policy administration systems (Insurity Policy Decisions).  Our team converted a DOS platform to Windows, then Windows was converted to a .Net internet platform.  

•	Sr. Rate Analyst - performed quality assurance software testing to verify that commercial rates were correct for all lines of business to meet state insurance regulatory compliance
•	Statistical Coding - policies were validated through billing and statistical coding for ISO & WC Bureau reporting
•	Regulatory Compliance - tested policy interface, rating and forms to meet ISO, NCCI and WC Bureau requirements
•	Regression Testing - tests were executed in every state to confirm that new regulatory changes did not compromise rates/forms already in Production
•	Collaborated with groups:  Vendor, Underwriting, Actuary, Accounting, Auditing, and Information Technology
•	Analyzed and resolved complex bugs/defects in Test and Production environments
•	Wrote release documentation for Insurity Policy Decisions users (Raters & Underwriters)
