A globally recognised non-profit raising awareness, providing training and market-leading support for mental health issues within the hospitality trade. 

We generate funds to do so through sales of branded apparel, corporate training and fundraising. As a registered not-for-profit profits are used to create change by focussing on the wellbeing of individuals, businesses, and teams, in order to improve the sustainability of the industry and challenge stigma.

As part of my role I'll be aiding CHOW in increasing their reach of peer support facilitators by fundraising and recruiting more volunteers through a partnership with The Burnt Chef Project.

- Dealing directly with business owners, Executive and Head Chefs this role involves the promotion of over 5,000 specialist ingredients to restaurants, pubs, caterers, manufacturers and hotels.

- Increasing company turnover through the use of effective account management, up-selling and customer service experience.

- Sales of specialist products including cheese, charcuterie, olives, game, nuts, oils, fresh fruit and vegetables directly into Fine Dining establishments and Michelin Starred restaurants. 

- Currently cover Bristol, Bath and Cotswolds as well as the surrounding areas to Wincanton.

As the CEO and Founder of The Burnt Chef Project, I lead a globally recognised non-profit that raises awareness, provides training, and offers market-leading support for mental health issues within the hospitality industry. With over 4.5 years of experience in this field, I have successfully launched and managed multiple initiatives that empower individuals, businesses, and teams to improve their wellbeing and sustainability, and to challenge stigma and discrimination.

Some of the key achievements of The Burnt Chef Project include the creation of the Burnt Chef Journal Podcast, the Burnt Chef Support Service UK, the Burnt Chef Academy Training App, and the Burnt Chef Ambassador Programme, which have reached and helped thousands of hospitality professionals across the world. In addition, I serve as a Board Member for CHOW, a non-profit that provides peer support and wellness resources for the culinary community, and as a Director for Laser Assault Somerset, a business venture that promotes outdoor activities and fun for all ages. 

My core competencies include concept design, marketing, sales, personnel management, project management, and business management. 

I am also a passionate and creative keynote speaker, mentor, and stress reduction and cultural change expert, who strives to inspire and motivate others to achieve their personal and professional goals.

Hotel is "in the blood" for me.
Having been brought up in hotels all my life and it is where my true passion lies and especially in the Bournemouth area.

As a business we try to stand out from the crowd and being one of the largest independent hotels in Bournemouth helps us to achieve this. We have focused on trying to be one of the most accessible friendly hotels in the country and the feedback we get helps us to improve. We are the first hotel in England to have a changing places shower and toilet. We have ceiling hoists, profiling beds, wet rooms with equipment in 5 of our bedrooms. A sensory room, an iswim hoist for our outdoor pool to help guests in and out, a special food blender for special pureed diets and a wheelchair buggy with beach and forest wheels for our guests to use while holidaying with us.

We have had an award winning time of it recent years. In 2022 we won a Catey's which is like the Oscar's of the hospitality industry for accessibility. 

In our local Coast with the most awards we won Gold in accessibility, business events & team of the year and a silver in large hotel.

Over the last 8 to 10 years the hotel and team have won various awards for which we are extremely proud of. One of which was 2016 Dorset Business Awards we won the Business Engagement with Education award. The work we do with young adults to help them gain the experience they need to be able to go on and do apprenticeships and college courses is something we are all passionate about.

But ............. even more shocking than that I was nominated and went on to win the Unsung Hero award at the Bournemouth Tourism Awards 2017. I am still completely amazed now and could only do the things I do with the support of the team at the hotel and my family.

I am vice chair at present of the BH Area Hospitality Association. I also run Hotel GM & Director meetings for Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole and am on the Coastal BID committee. In March 2017 I also helped launch Bournemouth Hotel Watch with Dorset Police.

I a won the 1st ever trophy for the National Coastal Tourism Academy Customer Service Award in 2014, 
Also I have been nominated for the NatWest Women's Venus Awards for Dorset 2014. I became a semi finalist for the "Professional of the Year" and am also a finalist for the "Customer Service Award".

None of this would have been possible with the amazing team we have at the hotel and after such a turbulent time over the last few years with COVID-19 and the rise in the cost of living, they have all been more vital than ever.
