- Managed mill operations for a drywall manufacturing plant, overseeing 12 employees and raw material delivery. Ensured quality, safety, and efficiency standards were met and maintained.
- Ensured the purity of raw materials by conducting quality testing using various analytical methods and instruments. Compared the test results with the pre-established specifications and standards and reported any deviations or non-conformities to the quality control (QC) unit.
- Led a board reclaim project to recycle imperfect gypsum board for reuse, reducing waste disposal costs and increasing raw material availability.

- Senior advisor to the Squadron Commander for all Communications and IT related projects
- Used phone and email to coordinate mission planning with sister squadrons as well as external civilian and federal organizations
- Presented for approval and implemented a remote work environment for all IT support staff during COVID-19
- Managed day-to-day operations and risk for help desk, information systems, and communications teams, providing reliable and secure network operations, information services, and data management for 500+ military and civilian personnel
- Created and instructed information security training regarding the proper use and risk measures of handling classified and unclassified data for an organization of 300 users while deployed to Afghanistan 
- Led and oversaw various IT/communications projects, including infrastructure re-cabling, SharePoint migration, tactical communications establishment, data lifecycle management, and multiple IT Network Device End of Lifecycle operations. Projects were delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards and stakeholder expectations
- Ensured functionality and mission readiness of communications, computer, and network equipment across the organization, valued at over 10 million USD. Managed the security, care, and maintenance of the equipment, following best practices and DoD and NIST Standards for 2 years with zero incidents
- Developed monthly Unit Status Report (USR), compiling all unit inventory, personnel, equipment, and training metrics to be presented to the Department of Defense (DoD) for use in identifying units for future deployment

When one person does the right thing, lots more happens.  

Our 2nd school has gotten an incredible amount of press and recognition in Madagascar, and I have directly had nothing to do with it.  Having proactive and talented people working with and for you makes all of the difference.  At this time last year, a second school was a dream.  After last visit, the snowball started rolling and it ain't let up yet.

We went from no school to:

Parents began contributing to a shared meal every day for the kids
Students began learning 5 days a week instead of whenever a teacher showed up.
Hundreds of school desks are being donated so children are no longer on a dusty floor
Local government officials have spoken in the national assembly about our goals and aspirations 
Podcasts and advertisements will begin soon with donated microphones and a laptop!!!!
Santa visited with gifts too!!!

All of this happened because of me, but not by me.  Start whatever you are wanting to do today!  That's all I got to say!! The results will astonish you!!

I remember sitting in my mom's house trying to figure out if it was a good idea to leave my American life behind.  There was no AC and it was a hot muggy night.  I wanted more, and I wanted different.  I was on the verge of having the government take our paid off house because of a clerical error on taxes.  

I applied to my teaching job in South Korea and was on the plane within a week.  That was before 9-11.  I knew NOTHING about Korea except that we once went to war with them.  NOTHING 

That 1 risk was what it took to meet my wife and continue down the path of educational and financal growth.  Just when the walls were cabing in, I made a desperate and calculated risk!  After 10 years, I was back in the USA and back to dreaming of owning many houses.  

This is another picture of calculated risk. I know it goes against the grain like everything I have ever done.  I know people say YOU SHOULDN'T DO THAT.  Guess what... I will be finding another house within  the next year. 1 plus 1 plus 1 plus 1 plus 1

Do risky things for the right reasons.  Nobody but yourself is really stopping you.  

My wife approves!  That is success right there.
