Can I just vent for a minute? ChatGPT has completely ruined my joy of writing. 

My natural writing style is short, punchy sentences. 

I use em dashes and am team oxford comma. I make comparisons and pose questions. 

And since ChatGPT does all of that, I sit there writing copy or content for clients and keeping going, “Shit, I can’t write the sentence this way because they’ll think ChatGPT wrote it.” 

Rinse and repeat. Over and over until I’m forced to change how I write so it feels less AI.

It sucks. And I don’t have a solution, but I hope ChatGPT has a worse Monday than Diddy did when 50 Cent’s documentary first dropped.

Top Content Marketer To Follow In 2026 🏆 Fractional Head Of Content.

I know some CEOs are telling their marketing teams that, "blogs aren't worth it anymore because nobody is reading them." This is a LETHAL MISTAKE. 

If you stop producing content. You will lose your entire top of the funnel. 

People are still searching. They still need answers. They still need products that solve their problem. They're just using LLMs, not Google and AEO is making it impossible to benchmark things like views, clicks, etc. YoY. 

This goes back to my, "sometimes marketing just isn't measurable" post a few weeks ago. This notion will become even more true in the wake of LLMs.

Here's what you need to do:

1.) Stay hyper focused on creating content for your ICP. Content that solves painpoints, teaches them something new, and highlights how your product has helped customers succeed.

2.) Structure for AEO discoverability:
-Don't bury the lead. LEAD with the answer.
-Write in questions like, "What is AEO optimization?"
-Keep structure simple. One idea per section.
-This vs. that comparisons (including you vs. competitor)
-Make it EXPLICITLY clear what your product does

3.) Accept that pageviews and clicks may be WAY DOWN on site. That's the name of the game with many people using LLMs from ChatGPT to Gemini to search for them. 

Keep producing content, just make is discoverable for AEO. And be ready to defend this decision to kingdom come when your CEO tells you 'blogs aren't worth it anymore' or you'll spend all of H2 2026 digging out of a massive hole.

Anyone who thinks marketing doesn’t matter can tell that to the $8 billion dollar neck cream industry that’s entire basis for existing is:

You need a separate cream for your neck than your face.

Spoiler alert: You don’t. 

But this is the power of marketing.
