Marketing heavy industries on LinkedIn ✨

When I signed up to manage a client's inbox, god oh god, was I not aware of the second hand embarrasment I would have going through 100s of cold pitches from marketers every week.

Not one - I repeat - not one of them are deep/genuine/convining enough to even bother going through them.

It's clear they were mass launched in hopes of at least getting 1 reply.

When I asked my client about this - he said - If they haven’t taken 15 minutes to understand my business, what exactly are they going to optimize?

You understand how low the bar is???

I was recently on call with a prospect and they said something that made my blood boil:

"Marketing service providers are so eager to sell their services, NOT so eager to actually solve business problems."

After the call however, I thought about it and started to see why they said what they said.

They had worked with an agency before who promised exponential results. 

But once the process started - they didn't even bother to even understand the business. 

Jumped right in with posting.

6 months passed and forget exponential results - even basic results were not seen. Profile wasn't audit, branding wasn't on point.

When they were asked why there was no progress - they said the industry wan't right. 

Yes - that's what they said. 

*Clearly* they didn't know about the "industry" while onboarding.

So tell me - when that client walks away after 6 months of timely paid invoices with ZERO RESULTS - is it really their fault?
