1 cent nugget  - Don't Let the Sun Go Down  on Me

I had a great meet up with A yesterday. 

We met and discussed about our health whereby A was in Corporate and me, as an Entrepreneur.

Life has a funny way of getting back at us. 

If we get too stressed, we get ill. 

If lucky, small ailment and in case of not so lucky, we may have an heart attack or worse. 

Well, this happened to him and his world has totally changed. 

I shared my experiences when I had mine in 2008. 

What tends to matters suddenly doesn't any more. 

What was taken for granted suddenly became, priceless. 

Like family or closed friends. 

As in business, we try very hard. Sometimes, too hard. 

And we neglect some stuff that are more meaningful. We dont see it Now. 

Perhaps it is good to take a step back and watch the Sun goes down. 

Just make sure, it doesnt go Down on You.

So glad that A managed to have a second chance. 

Not many people Does. ❤️💕

1 cent nugget - Fairytale 

It was surreal as I watch the seashore from a tower.

The clouds and people surrounding the Gaudi park was amazing. 

They were taking picture, chit chatting and having a great time.

Fairytale do come true, I told myself. 

After 6 years in business, I wouldn't say Agile 8 is a big company. 

It is in a way still a niche business where we are often given opportunities by our network.

We are growing slow however everyone is enjoying the process. My colleagues and also my clients. 

I always like to term this as a Fairytale dream. 

How about you? 

Have you thought about throwing everything away that you have build in Corporate to do something yours?

It wasn't easy as in most Fairytales, right. 

There will be obstacles, bad luck and sometimes, bad people.

These gives experiences and lesson. 

What doesnt kills us, makes us stronger? 

No, thats all Fairytales. 

They merely gives us experiences not to fall into the same trap. 

As I prepares myself for more motivational talk to university students, I just wanted to thanks Prof K and Prof T for the chance given all these while. 

I do hope that those whom had connected with me since, had a good read everytime I post.

1 cent nugget - Starting out is always hard

After reading some LI post about how far some have come, I am so happy and heartened. 

6 years ago, many of them were here too. 

Some dropped out, some went back to Corporate whilst some have passed on. 

The scene 6 years ago was different, in a way, we dont have AI and content creation wasn't so prolific. 

It is a good thing that now we have many contents to share. 

However one content to me is always so important.

❤️  It is all about encouraging fellow entrepreneurs Not to give up. 

❤️  Nudging softly on current Corporate to come out on their own. 

❤️  Giving strength and reason Why they continue. 

❤️  And of course, providing a safe haven through meet ups, games or maybe just casual catch up to listen. 

6 years ago, I had only one Reason. Time.

6 years after, it is still Time. 

Purpose doesnt change. 

Human does. 

So when you have found your Purpose, go ahead and do it. 

In 6 years time, you will thank yourself for stepping out and Up.

Even if you had failed, the lessons, people and experiences will be so invaluable. 

One laptop. No problem.

No staff, no issue. 

No contact - start going out to meet. 

No network - Spend. 

Buy tickets to get into meetings and soon, you will know more people than me. 

Frankly, the key to stepping out is to ensure you have enough to last you for the Journey.

Like they says, A Journey of a Thousand Miles  starts at One. 

What they didn't say -  is make sure you have enough food to last the first Thousand Steps.

Well, I dont want to sound like a singer, however I found that it was very true. 

Often, we have our own point of view and neglect what other people says.

I had my fair share of self righteousness and was proven wrong over and over again 😅 early in my Corporate life. 

Yes, your position as a team lead or leader is thrust upon you.  

However does your respect continues after you have left your leadership role?

I thought I had my fair share of respect when I was a head of department. Yes, the Yes and Yes and more Yes. 

How about the Nos? 

How many speak of No, I disagree with you. 

How many times?

Nowadays I look for the No. 

Because, the No allows me to reflect better and also to re-affirm what I dont understand.
