Teaching is not babysitting.

Teaching is not an easy job.

Teaching is not flexible with tons of time off.

Teachers are on the frontlines of some of the hardest issues in our country.

They show up to do an impossible job (teach every kid grade level standards) with little to no resources to do that job every day.

They do this impossible job by putting their own needs second (eating lunch and using the restroom) and working for free outside of their contract hours.

Most teachers don’t get PTO, adequate sick days, maternity/ paternity leave or bereavement time.

Teachers are hit, bitten, and attacked by students, then asked “Did you try and build a relationship with the student?”

They experience extreme levels of stress, anxiety, and insomnia.

They spend their own money and free time working on their classrooms/ lesson planning.

Most teachers are working 2-3 jobs to make ends meet.

They are belittled by other professions.
