I help financial advisors, attorneys, and CPAs with their clients by planning for life’s hardest events and mitigating consequences with long-term care (LTC) aka extended care. 

I help employers provide their employees with a caregiving support platform and LTC insurance.

I help clients and their families with their LTC and disability insurance planning needs. I design unique policies for each individual/family.

I’m a guide. I don't tell my clients what they should do, rather I listen to their needs, goals, and concerns and give them recommendations. Ultimately, it's up to them to decide.


🌟WHY I DO WHAT I DO
I know the value and importance of planning for the unexpected. 

I saw and experienced the difficult realities of extended care/LTC situations in my family. All of my grandparents needed LTC, but none of them had a written plan or LTC insurance. This put a tremendous amount of financial, physical, and emotional burdens on my family. I was a part-time caregiver to my grandma for a couple of years. I wish my family planned in advance for LTC and had insurance.

My father-in-law was a dentist and due to an accident lost significant vision and could no longer practice dentistry in his 40s. His individual disability policy provided valuable income for over 20 years to my husband's family! Without that policy, I just don’t know what they would’ve done.

It’s an honor to be able to come alongside clients and provide compassion and expertise in LTC and DI.

Mr. Jason Brown is the co-owner of Eastern Financial Services, Inc., also known as Eastern Financial Group or "EFG" for short. EFG is an insurance brokerage company that primarily focuses on Life Insurance, Annuities, Long-Term Care solutions and Retirement Planning.  

Jason is a licensed financial professional and has his own book of business, but most of his time is spent operating the firm and supporting independent insurance agents & financial advisors.  

Jason, or Jay, is mostly known for his knowledge and passion for "Indexed" insurance products, Coaching, Marketing, Mentoring and Training. In the summer of 2017, he also created an IUL Training Program for independent agents & financial advisors.

Jason Brown has been working with independent insurance agents & financial advisors since 1996. He originally entered the industry through an FMO/IMO located in Ohio. He is proficient in Life Insurance and Annuities.

Jason's primary area of expertise revolves around fixed and "fixed indexed" insurance products. This also includes other types of fixed annuities, Long-Term Care insurance or life insurance products, including whole life.

Jason has a great working knowledge and experience with Income Planning (Annuities), Tax-Free Retirement (IUL's), Infinite Banking Concepts & Debt Elimination (Par Whole Life), Final Expense & Mortgage Protection.

Mr. Brown is extremely passionate about training and supporting other professionals to help them grow their business! He also takes marketing & prospecting very seriously. He's happy to share what he's learned with others.

***NEW IUL Certification Requirement***

Today, December 3, 2025, I am posting this to share an idea and to create a timestamp. This is something that has been on my heart and on my mind for quite some time, but I've never shared it "publicly." 

I had hoped to hold off on mentioning this publicly, given the busyness of life and work, but I've come to realize there is no time like the present. 

After working with IUL for over two + decades and seeing everything I've seen in my career, good & bad, plus the more recent lawsuit involving Kyle Busch and Pacific Life, it's time I make this statement. 

On this day, December 3, 2025, I propose that the life insurance industry adopt a NEW training requirement for insurance agents and advisors to sell Indexed Universal Life (IUL). This would be a post-licensing requirement.  

This additional certification and training requirement could/would be similar to what was created for Annuities and Long-Term Care. This would be industry-wide and could also count towards continuing education. Agents who are already licensed could be grandfathered in, but that should be subject to debate. 

Furthermore, I propose that several of us, seasoned veterans, collaborate with insurance carriers, industry associations, and regulators to advance this narrative for the benefit of our industry and consumer protection. 

I am willing to be part of the solution and share ideas with others who could embrace the change! 

Thoughts? Do you think this is inevitable? What would be a realistic timeframe? 

P.S. I created and launched my own IUL training program in 2017, then moved it online in 2019. Many agents have completed the training, so I can share what I've learned from my experience.
