Centre for Water Resources Studies

-Working with the Atlantic Policy Congress of First Nations Chiefs (APCFNC) on their water quality initiative, developed educational graphics, presentations, and policy summary documents on the state of water quality in First Nations communities in Atlantic Canada. Materials were developed for community, industry, government and academic audiences
-As a result of my skills in research translation for different audiences, I was given the responsibility of creating promotional materials for the Centre, organizing student workshops and assisting with journal article preparation

North Kingston Community Health Centre

I developed educational and promotional materials to teach the local low-income community about healthy living. I also co-lead basic cooking classes, which lead to increased responsibilities and more direct community involvement and education as a regular vendor at the local market.

I have 10 years communication experience with stakeholders from academia, government, industry, First Nations communities, youth, and members of the general public. I am passionate about health, the environment, and community engagement. To compliment these interpersonal skills, I have 5 years experience in data analysis and visualization using R programming, and integrating Python with Geographic Information Systems programs (e.g. ArcGIS suite, QGIS, Google Earth Engine and ENVI).
