I created the Outcomes & Graduate Programme from scratch in the Melbourne branch and developed training material tailored to people who are transitioning in their careers. I work closely with General Assembly students to prepare them for careers in Web Development and User Experience Design through career coaching. I run interactive workshops which cover:

Because of my hands-on experience and knowledge of IT (software development and infrastructure), I was able to easily stand apart from my competitors. You see, I could really understand the technical capabilities necessary for the roles and therefore source the most appropriate IT Professionals for my clients. Many times I would hear my clients say, “Yeah, you really get it – you know what we are looking for”.

My role as a senior IT Consultant comprised of end-to-end recruitment including:

Having never worked in the recruitment industry before, I was given the unique opportunity to work as the right hand man for one of the company’s directors with the aim of growing the IT Recruitment Department. 

My role was similar to the one at Aurec’s (see above).

Achievements:

•	I helped create enough new business that they had to hire 2 new recruiters to keep up with the demand for our services. I solidified existing client relationships and strategically sought out new opportunities that resulted in new clients.
•	Generated profit by effectively marketing Enterprise’s services 
•	Developed and implemented new strategies for attracting candidates using a number of techniques. 
•	Successfully placed candidates in suitable IT roles as well as effectively sourced hard-to-find IT professionals to fill really specialised roles
•	I coached many candidates through the interview process identifying weakness and helping them become more confident in selling themselves.

Because of my IT industry knowledge at a hands-on level, I was easily able to developed strategic relationships with companies and offer them the best service possible. 
I successfully filled mid to senior level roles in Software Development (.Net, Java, PHP), Software Testing (manual and automated), Project Management, Business Analysis, UI/UX Specialists.

My role included hunting out potential commercial opportunities, developing relationships with new clients and further strengthening relationships with existing customers.

I also managed a number client projects including helping the client scope their project and then liaise with Westprint’s production managers as well as managed various outsourced companies to deliver the final project on time and within budget.

During the 18 months, I not only achieved my sales targets but exceeded them too. Through the effective development of a number of sales and marketing strategies I increased the clientele numbers considerably. These initiatives include email campaigns, networking, cold-calling and door knocking.

Though my experience in the sign writing and display industry, I managed to increase the number of products and services Westprint offered which fell outside their core business. This added considerably to the company’s bottom line.

Uvision Sign and Print

Uvision Sign and Print specialised in large format printing, servicing the signage and interior decorators market. As a pioneering company in this field in New Zealand, we used state of the art UV Flatbed printing technology to print directly onto almost any surface which had an amazing wow factor for our clients. 

As one of the founding directors of the business, I built the company from scratch, created a company profile and devised ground-level online and offline marketing campaigns in order to generate revenue. I was very successful in establishing a name and foothold for Uvision in the Sign and Print Industry.

I was also responsible for developing business to business relationships as well as project management and I became very confident in dealing with designers, production and manufacturing teams as well as those in senior management. 

By developing various coordinated online (website, email) and offline (cold calling, presentations, letters, adverts) marketing campaigns, I was able to effectively take the company from a start-up business to one that had a solid standing in the sign and printing industry. This was achieved by developing a strong client base that that include retailers, real estate agents, marketing companies, signage companies, artists and photographers to name a few.

In addition to this, I also developed hands-on skills in using large format digital printers so I was completely confident in talking to new and existing clients in terms of advising sign and print solutions as well as materials.

QUANTUM EDUCATION LIMITED

During my employment at Quantum Education, I held a number of positions and was rewarded with numerous promotions. 

I was in charge of brand management and strategy development, creative design and pre-press management. I also set up the Auckland, Northland and Wellington sales divisions for the sale of Virgin Atlantic's Travel and Tourism study packages. In addition to this, I was also responsible for training new sales people and regularly traveled around New Zealand to the various branches to conduct sales training and coaching.

I also set up a new call centre to handle inquiries relating to the various courses and trained the inbound call operators on how to convert leads to sales. In addition to this, I also created an outbound marketing campaign to reactivate old leads which dramatically increased student numbers and company revenue. 

Achievements:
• Successfully developed and implemented various direct marketing campaigns and coordinated the distribution of marketing including flyers, newspaper adverts, websites and incentive based programmes. This considerably boosted company revenue.
• I successfully set up the Auckland, Northland and Wellington sales divisions and coordinated the marketing campaigns for these regions, which dramatically contributed to the extra 3 million dollars.
• After the first month in travel and tourism sales position, I exceeded my target as I understood the market well and the clientele we were dealing with.
