I spent a random Monday playing tech darts 

& duck pin bowling with a close friend that I met here on LinkedIn 

I reached out to Demi & we planned a day out

She was on it as we often forget to have a bit of fun

(Well I don’t, so I said let’s go) 

We laughed, had a great time

We got a bit competitive 😂

But the main thing is, we decided when we wanted to do it 

This is why I built a business 

For the freedom to pick any day out of the week & enjoy it

Not wait until the weekend to live my life

Because life is too short & I want to have more fun

I always have been & I always will 

And I refuse to let anything ruin that

I got made redundant and it was the best thing that could have happened

But let’s rewind back to that moment

It felt scary
It felt like the world around me was coming to an end
I thought I was going to be stuck in that story

Before that, I was always in and out of jobs I didn’t enjoy

Then for a long while I had no work

Hustling through to make ends meet 
Figuring out things as I went along

Then I landed that full-time role
£35K salary (highest I’d ever had)
Freedom to work whenever & wherever I wanted 

It looked great on paper

But something still felt off

Like a “is this what I really want” moment

I thought this had to be the path

Work full-time until I grew my business

Which yes, others have made work

But for some reason I stopped focusing on what I truly enjoy

Building my own business
Talking to people
Putting myself out there

I was my own block for three years

Didn’t Albert Einstein say: 

“Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”

Yeah, I felt that

Kept following the same pattern over & over again 

I got pushy
I got desperate
I made countless mistakes
I had the strategy I needed 

Yet I wasn’t moving forward

Then redundancy hit and I had a moment of realisation

Like, wait, I am in control?

Oh yeah, I am, like fuck yes

So I stopped doing the same things

Stayed calm

Even with no clients and limited money in the bank

Then things started to shift

I landed my first high paying client on a 90-day growth plan

I took on small UGC projects in September

Got some small projects coming in

And a freelance opportunity I’d applied for years ago came through

Now, I do content creation on the side when work comes in

And I’m on my path to helping founders uncover cracks, grow their business, and scale revenue with peace

And I don’t plan on stopping there

Watch this space, I’m coming back with momentum

It’s only the beginning

(Even though it’s been 3 years, I felt like I started fresh again)
