Health, Safety and Compliance Officer – Managed all aspects of safety for London & Southeast regions, oversaw the successful implementation of essential building & repair audits, Asbestos, work at a height and lone working. Day to day operations consisted of tenant, back-office employees, and repairs operative’s safety support as well as prescribed building assessments of existing and new build projects around the UK. Responsible for three hundred multi-trade mobile operatives.

Managed facilities across multiple Crawley Borough Council owned premises on behalf of charity sector, line managed the FM teams as direct reports, ensured compliance and regulatory obligations were fully met.

Maintained building and safety compliance through fully supported direct line reports consisting of my heads of departments that aided me in facilitating employee management in all key operational and welfare areas. Responsibility for 500 sleepers within an iconic 252 bedroom airport hotel. Supporting/line managing multiple teams and departments. Fire safety, training, food hygiene and departmental budgetary and forecasting. Setting KPI's Audits, inspections and safety system stress testing.

Lead Day to day logistical operations of Southeast fleet from Crawley site head office. Supervised all safety aspects of goods returns and retention policies (COSHH storage), developed and delivered key safety training, manual handling, forklift usage and safety auditing application to workforce. Ensured statutory duties were effectively discharged, PUWER/LOWLER, maintained equipment and racking records, inspections, and servicing regimes.

Bachelor's degree equivalent holder of occupational health & safety practice with a true passion for driving the safety agenda, working towards level 7, MSc in occupational health and safety with desired outcome to achieve PhD within the next 10 years in neuroscience and health and safety management.

Multi-level collaborator with executive and senior leadership teams, building comprehensive stakeholder relationships to achieve continuous improvements with harm reduction and effectiveness of discharging statutory duties. Operating comprehensively at head of/director level.

Building an online training platform and modules for charities to utilise for free, under the Simpsoncorp.uk brand. Carrying out Pro-Bono COVID-19 secure risk assessments and action plans for local charities within the Crawley area.
