We just validated something most B2B marketers overlook about CTV.
Analyzed 54 days of LinkedIn CTV campaign data against website traffic.
The correlation? 0.69 (p < 0.001)
But here's what actually matters:
Organic Search correlation: 0.81
Direct traffic correlation: 0.65
CTV isn't driving clicks. It's driving search behavior.
People see your ad on LinkedIn CTV → they Google your brand → they visit your site.
We're seeing ~352 sessions per 1,000 CTV impressions, with the strongest lift happening in branded search traffic.
This is exactly how brand awareness should work. But most marketers measure it like performance media and wonder why "it doesn't work."
The data shows:
→ Same-day impact + 7-day sustained lift
→ Primary conversion path: CTV → Organic Search → Site
→ Implied cost per session: $0.08
If you're running CTV and only looking at click-through rates, you're measuring the wrong thing.
Look at your branded search volume. That's where the signal is.

Still, I'm sure they could add a few more buzzwords...

- Ability to match the style of a founder or exec
- Can turn messy transcripts into well-formatted posts
- You can find the right insights in a pile of information
- You've successfully written for LinkedIn

I'm obviously biased but I think you'll rarely stumble upon a chance this good.

We'll work hard, the expectations will be high and you won't GET RICH QUICK, but you'll get to work with top 1% B2B brands and learn as much as you can handle from them + me.

PS. Please don't apply if you only created SEO/blog content and never wrote specifically for LinkedIn. It's a very different game and in my experience, someone who grow up in SEO often can't master social.

[rant] If you thought Martech was competitive (15,000 vendors), wait until you see the LinkedIn ghostwriting landscape (+2,000 agencies, 20-30k+ solo gws)...

When you combine this competitiveness with a few other factors...

- Low barrier to entry
- AI content creation
- 'get rick quick' motivations
- demand boom in the last 2 years...

You get a lot of bad actors who ruin the reputation of the entire profession with their...

- False credentials ('we work with a16z and Sequoia ...')
- False claims ('we'll pay $1.5M for head of ceo content')
- False promises ('we'll generate $XXM for you')
- One-size-fits-none AI slop (you see it everyday)
- Acts of plagiarism (can't tag them, I'm blocked 🤠)

So when's you're operating in an industry known for its lack of ethics...

Simply being the good guy and putting truth and integrity above anything else can easily become a huge competitive advantage.

I know this was a very pessimistic rant but what I actually wanted to do is to give a shoutout to 2 of my competitors I respect a lot, Alec Paul and Finn Thormeier.

They're not rotten like most of this space. They're one of the (few) good guys in this space, so give them a follow (or even better, hire them).

I know you've been dying for an update on Virio hiring a $1.5M/y Head of CEO Content, but since they still haven't provided one, I have a few...

1) A friend applied, got a $300k offer (turned down)

2) More than 3 months after the original 'job posting', they still haven't hired anyone 

3) A few applicants said 'I completed an assignment, they got free work out of me, they contacted my references and have since pitched my references'

4) One of their friends said they raised 400,000 CAD, claimed to everyone (offline) they actually raised 1M+, then gambled away 100k in one night in poker 

5) Their clients' content averages 20 likes, despite everyone on Virio team engaging with it

6) The top performing post they produced for a client... got inspired by one of my posts (see images attached)

7) The wins they quote on their homepage ($50M pipeline, 10M impressions) are NOT client wins. These are all Eric's stats (and I bet pipeline stats are totally made up)

8) A little prediction: they're building tech, so when they finally launch it (unless they spend all money on poker), they'll announce that they finally hired $1.5M Head of CEO Content - and it's their product

I'm thrilled to announce Raven's Rule of 40 score is 180% (yoy growth rate 90% + profit margin 90%). The goal for 2026 is:

- 110% YoY growth rate
- 80% profit margin

(for a founder brand agency, anything under 150% Rule of 40 score honestly doesn't make sense)

The main bottleneck in hitting these goals is... me (duh).

I have to force myself to NOT work on acquisition because we simply can't take on any more clients right now (ping me in Q1!). So now I'm spending most of my time on delivery, hiring and operations.

To hit the above goals in 2026, we'll have to double our content production capacity by:

- (asap) Adding 2 freelance writers to the pool
- (Q1) Moving 1 part time strategist/writer to full time
- (Q2) Hiring +1 more FTE strategist/writer
- (Q3) Moving my AI/operations specialist to part-time

As always, finding great content talent is real tough. In the last hiring cycle alone, I went through 162 applications, tested 5 and hired just 2.

So, if you know where to find the link, I'm always looking for top 1% ghostwriters / content marketers / 'head of CEO content'...

Last BFCM, I was selling my Founder Brand Playbook for $250 (50% off). Since then, I stopped selling courses & focused on Raven, my agency (grew 90% yoy).

In that year, Raven flew a lot higher:

- 13 new clients signed
- 2 from my tier 1 account list (of 3)
- 90% yoy growth rate (6 figures)
- maintained a profit margin of 90%
- 3 freelancers + first part-time hire
- great client retention, anecdotal churn

The part I'm most proud of is that I'm eating my own dog food: all this growth came from building a founder brand on LinkedIn.

My last 365 day stats aren't even that great: 4,969 new followers, 844,335 impressions. Just like most founders, I'm busy working on product (fulfillment in my case), so I only put in like 10% effort into LinkedIn (mostly screwed around with memes & calling out lame LinkedIn gurus).

Despite half-assing it, it was enough to close 13/17 clients on the first call ($50,000-$60,000 ACV).
