I worked as a research assistant for Rijkswaterstaat, the Dutch executive agency for public works and water management. My main task was to conduct a research project on how to scale the use of second hand furniture in the Netherlands to bolster sustainability in the industry.

The research project involved:

- Reviewing the literature on the environmental and social benefits of second hand furniture, as well as the barriers and drivers for its adoption by consumers and businesses.

- Conducting interviews and surveys with various stakeholders, such as furniture manufacturers, retailers, resellers, refurbishers, NGOs, and customers.

- Analyzing the data and identifying the best practices, opportunities, and challenges for scaling the use of second hand furniture in the Netherlands.

- Developing recommendations and strategies for Rijkswaterstaat and other relevant actors to promote and facilitate the circular economy of furniture.

The research project was a valuable learning experience for me, as I gained insights into the complex and dynamic system of furniture production and consumption, and the potential for circular solutions to reduce waste and emissions, while creating social and economic value. I also improved my skills in research design, data collection and analysis, report writing, and stakeholder engagement.

I enjoyed working with a diverse and motivated team of researchers, consultants, and experts from Rijkswaterstaat and other organizations. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this important and innovative project.

Ως πότε θα είσαι freelancer;

Το περιεχόμενό μου έχει αλλάξει λίγο τον τελευταίο καιρό.

Όχι τυχαία.

Η δική μου ομάδα μεγαλώνει πιο γρήγορα απ’ όσο περίμενα

και οι άνθρωποι με τους οποίους δουλεύω φτάνουν πλέον πολύ γρήγορα
στο ίδιο σημείο:

δεν μπορούν να τα κάνουν όλα μόνοι τους.

Άλλωστε, το να βρεις 5–6 πελάτες και να «μπουκώσεις»
είναι σχετικά εύκολο στα services.

Το δύσκολο δεν είναι εκεί.

Το δύσκολο είναι να βάλεις ανθρώπους στην ομάδα σου την κατάλληλη στιγμή και να κάνεις το πρώτο μικρό scale, 

ώστε μετά να μπορέσεις να κάνεις το επόμενο και μεγαλύτερο.

Όχι τόσο επειδή χρειάζεται απαραίτητα full-time προσλήψεις,
αλλά επειδή χρειάζεται να απαντήσεις σε πολύ συγκεκριμένα ερωτήματα:

✅ πότε παίρνεις τον πρώτο, τον δεύτερο, τον τρίτο συνεργάτη
✅ αν είναι full-time ή part-time
✅ πόσο τον πληρώνεις ώστε να μη φας όλο σου το κέρδος
✅ πώς τον εκπαιδεύεις
✅ πώς διασφαλίζεις την ποιότητα
✅ πώς αποδέχεσαι ότι δεν μπορείς να τα κάνεις όλα μόνος σου
✅ και πώς αυξάνεις τιμές σε existing & νέους πελάτες ώστε να απορροφηθεί το κόστος

Όλα αυτά είναι απολύτως λογικές ερωτήσεις.

Και είναι ερωτήσεις που δεν απαντιούνται με hustle.

Δεν μπορείς να είσαι για πάντα one-man / one-woman show.

Γι’ αυτό και σιγά-σιγά, αυτά τα θέματα αποτελούν πλέον πάνω από το 50% του coaching που κάνω.

Δεν ξεχνάω ποτέ τους freelancers που είναι η βάση μου. ❤️ 

Αλλά ο ρόλος μου είναι και να καλύψω τις ανάγκες όσων προχωρούν πιο γρήγορα από τον μέσο όρο.

Και νομίζω έτσι θα πάει το 2026.

Θα φτιάξουμε το Freelancer’s Coaching – Vol. 2 και θα μεγαλώσουμε ακόμη περισσότερο μερικές πολύ ωραίες επιχειρήσεις.

Πολλές φορές ο coach δεν λέει τίποτα.

Και όμως σε αναγκάζει να δεις τα πάντα.

Γίνεται ο καθρέφτης του Ντόριαν Γκρέυ.

Όχι για να σε κρίνει.

Αλλά για να σου δείξει την πραγματικότητα που αποφεύγεις.

Σε βάζει να σκεφτείς:

🔹Γιατί δεν έκανα αυτά που ήξερα ότι έπρεπε;
🔹Γιατί είμαι διαλυμένος ενώ “όλα πάνε καλά”;
🔹Τι πάει πραγματικά λάθος;
🔹Τι πρέπει να αλλάξει και γιατί το αποφεύγω τόσο καιρό;

Ο coach βλέπει ποιος μπορείς να γίνεις
και ταυτόχρονα βλέπει πώς και γιατί το σαμποτάρεις.

Ξέρει ότι η αυτοπεποίθηση δεν έρχεται με λόγια.

Ούτε με insight.

Έρχεται όταν κάνουμε πράγματα.

Και ξέρει επίσης ότι η αποφυγή της δράσης
είναι το τελευταίο οχυρό
του παλιού μας εαυτού.

Η ικανότητα να δεις το potential ενός ανθρώπου
δεν μαθαίνεται.

Χτίζεται με τα χρόνια.

Λίγο λίγο.

Με κόστος.

Και είναι τρομακτικό.

Να βλέπεις πόσα μπορεί να γίνει κάποιος
και πόσα λίγα τολμά τελικά να κάνει.

Ακόμα πιο τρομακτικό είναι ότι ο coach ξέρει γιατί.

Γιατί τα πέρασε κι ο ίδιος.

Γι’ αυτό ο coach δεν είναι απλώς καθρέφτης του άλλου.

Είναι και δικός του.

Ένας καθρέφτης που σε αλλάζει βαθιά.

Σχεδόν πλουτώνια.

Όπως αλλάζει και εκείνον
κάθε φορά που τολμά να κοιτάξει μέσα του…

Το καλύτερο productivity hack για το 2026🔥

Ο πιο γρήγορος τρόπος να κάνεις ένα πράγμα είναι να προσλάβεις κάποιον καλύτερο από εσένα να το κάνει και να μην ξανασχοληθεις

Αν δεν έχεις πελάτες, γιατί κάθεσαι και διαβάζεις posts στο LinkedIn ❓ 

Αν δεν έχεις χρόνο, γιατί δεν προσλαμβάνεις κάποιον να σε βοηθήσει ❓ 

Αν νιώθεις ότι κανείς δεν σε ξέρει, γιατί δεν γράφεις περιεχόμενο ❓ 

Αν κάτι δεν πάει καλά στο business σου, γιατί δεν το φτιάχνεις ❓ 

Τι περιμένεις ❓ 

Κάθε μέρα που κάνεις τα λάθος πράγματα είναι μία μέρα που σε απομακρύνει κι άλλο από τον στόχο σου.

Ποιον περιμένεις να έρθει να σώσει την επιχείρησή σου ❓ 

Κανέναν.

Δεν υπάρχει “κάποιος άλλος”.

Υπάρχεις μόνο εσύ και οι αποφάσεις που αποφεύγεις να πάρεις.

📌 Αν νιώθεις ότι πρέπει να αλλάξεις αλλά δεν έχεις τη δομή για να το κάνεις, δες τι εχω βαλει στο πρωτο σχόλιο 😉

Δεν έχεις πρόβλημα πωλήσεων, έχεις πρόβλημα δομής. 😱  

10 πράγματα που δεν ξέρεις για την επιχείρησή σου, αλλά καλό θα ήταν να τα μάθεις:

1️⃣ Τι τζίρο θα κάνεις τον Ιανουάριο, τον Φεβρουάριο και τον Μάρτιο. 

Δε χρειάζεται να ξέρεις ακριβώς, αλλά χρειάζεται να έχεις μια πρόβλεψη: 

Ποια προϊόντα/υπηρεσίες θα πουλήσεις, σε ποια ποσότητα και σε ποιον.

2️⃣ Πόσα καινούργια leads θα φέρεις και πόσα θα κλείσεις συνολικά (μαζί με τα παλιά) κάθε μήνα για το πρώτο τρίμηνο του χρόνου.

3️⃣ Τι επιπλέον υπηρεσίες θα πουλήσεις στους υπάρχοντες πελάτες σου και τι τζίρο θα κάνεις από αυτές.

4️⃣ Τι έξοδα θα έχεις και πώς θα διαμορφωθεί το κέρδος σου.

5️⃣ Πόσους ανθρώπους θα χρειαστείς (και ποιους) ώστε να φτάσεις τον προβλεπόμενο τζίρο κάθε μήνα, χωρίς να «σπάσεις».

6️⃣ Τι θα βγάλεις κάθε μήνα από το πρόγραμμά σου, ώστε να κάνεις χώρο για να πουλάς περισσότερο.

7️⃣ Τι ενέργειες μάρκετινγκ θα κάνεις, πόσο θα κοστίσουν και τι θα φέρουν πίσω.

8️⃣ Πώς θα μετρήσεις τη συνέπεια και την αποτελεσματικότητα των υπηρεσιών σου.

9️⃣ Πώς θα δεις αν οι άνθρωποι που δουλεύουν για σένα είναι καλά και αποδίδουν σωστά.

🔟 Τι μετρητά θα έχεις στο τέλος κάθε μήνα στο ταμείο σου.

Θα μου πεις: «Άρη, τι λες; Εγώ ένας απλός freelancer είμαι…».

Ναι, και θα είσαι για πάντα, αν δεν πλανάρεις σωστά και εάν δεν έχεις τον έλεγχο του πλάνου, του χρόνου και της επιχείρησής σου.

Ξεκίνα από αυτά που μπορείς (π.χ. πρόβλεψη τζίρου).

Βάλ' τα σε χαρτί ή excel και τρέξε σωστά το τρίμηνό σου, πριν σε τρέξει αυτό…

Την προηγούμενη εβδομάδα παρακολούθησα το σεμινάριο της Πέμπτης του Aris Pilitsopoulos.

Τον εκτιμώ αφάνταστα γιατί έχει τρομερές γνώσεις κια εμπειρία, είναι πολύ ωραίος με τους ανθρώπους, και λέει τα πράγματα όπως είναι.

Μοιράζει γνώση καθημερινά, τόσο σε όσους ξεκινούν, όσο και σε άλλους, σαν κι εμένα, που χρειάζονται μια φρέσκια ματιά και ένα μικρό σκουντηγμα στην πλάτη. 
Μια υπενθύμιση ότι ποτέ δεν σταματάμε.


Καθώς τον άκουγα, θυμήθηκα πώς όταν ξεκινούσα, ένιωθα να παλεύω μόνη μου με projects, να ψάχνω τρόπους να μάθω και να βελτιωθώ, χωρίς κανέναν να με καθοδηγεί πραγματικά.

Κάθε μικρή συμβουλή που έπαιρνα ήταν χρυσός, είτε από ένα βίντεο στο YouTube, είτε από κάποιον ειδικό που μιλούσε στο online workshop, είτε ακόμα από φίλους που είχαν περάσει από παρόμοιες καταστάσεις.

Γιατί η γνώση δεν έρχεται τυχαία, ούτε είναι πάντα δωρεάν. Χρειάζεται χρόνο, την προσοχή σου, κόπο και, πολλές φορές, και χρήματα. 

Κάθε μάθημα, κάθε εμπειρία που συλλέγεις, σε φέρνει πιο κοντά στο να καταλάβεις τι δουλεύει και τι όχι.

Το ”το έκανα και πέτυχε” ή το "το έκανα και απέτυχε" είναι μαθήματα που δεν θα πάρεις διαβάζοντας κανένα βιβλίο.
Η εμπειρία είναι θησαυρός.

Και σε αυτή την εποχή, που το AI μπαίνει όλο και πιο πολύ στη ζωή μας, η αξία της εμπειρίας, της ανθρώπινης προσπάθειας και της προσωπικής μάθησης θα εκτιμάται ακόμα περισσότερο.

Το AI μπορεί να παράγει λύσεις, να μιμηθεί, να προτείνει, αλλά δεν μπορεί να σου πει αυτά που πραγματικά χρειάζεσαι να ακούσεις: 
ότι ποτέ δεν σταματάμε. 

Ότι η μάθηση είναι μια διαδικασία που δεν τελειώνει ποτέ.

Όταν κινούμαστε, όταν δοκιμάζουμε, όταν μαθαίνουμε, το σώμα μας ανταποκρίνεται. 

Η αυτοπεποίθησή μας ανεβαίνει, νιώθουμε ικανότεροι, πιο δυνατοί, πιο έτοιμοι να κυνηγήσουμε τα όνειρά μας. 

Και, ίσως πιο σημαντικό, μαθαίνουμε να αγαπάμε τη διαδικασία όσο και το αποτέλεσμα.

Αν υπάρχει κάτι που κρατώ από το σεμινάριο του Άρη, είναι αυτό: ποτέ δεν σταματάμε. 

Πάντα μπορούμε να μάθουμε κάτι νέο. 

Κάθε μέρα είναι μια ευκαιρία να γίνουμε καλύτεροι, λίγο πιο δημιουργικοί, λίγο πιο θαρραλέοι.

Και η γνώση που αποκτάμε σήμερα, είτε από ανθρώπους είτε από τεχνολογία, θα είναι η βάση για όλα όσα θα χτίσουμε αύριο.
