Just another LinkedIn sales influencer... but funnier and better looking than most.

Born in 1994 in the roundabout filled town of Milton Keynes I was always the odd child at school. 

After getting the worlds most pointless degree at University of Brighton I decided to go “find myself” by working in a French Ski Resort, backpacking through south-east Asia, before temporarily settling down in Sydney Australia where I got work as a recruiter and then moving to Canada. 

Now in North America I was determined to work in SaaS sales because I saw on Reddit that you can make BANK selling software.

Just a couple of years later after trying to find my footing I was the top rep on my team.

This gave me time to open up TikTok and on April of 2021 I made my first video, then I made one everyday for 6-months. 

This opened up my love for content creation and led me to my current career in marketing, keynotes, book writing, and sales training.

I judged a "Discovery Competition" at Salman Mohiuddin's Sales Sprint event this week

6 Sellers had 7-minutes to complete a discovery call with the bot that the team at Hyperbound uses as part of their Account Executive hiring process

Myself, Jen Allen-Knuth, and Eddy Bahnam then gave each seller feedback on what they did well with and how they could improve

I HATE giving feedback to strangers 😂

Coaching is intimate, and without knowing someone, their style, and how they like to be coached, you can end up sounding like a critical w@nker

As Babe Ruth said “The loudest boos always come from the cheapest seats.”

So I thought it'd only be fair if I also gave the challenge a spin and let strangers (that's you folks on LinkedIn) judge my performance

Plenty more of my sales comedy over on Apollo's Tiktok - Come say hi.

One month as a Brit 🇬🇧 living in Canada 🇨🇦.

Here are my observations in no specific order:

1) Canadians are the friendliest people in the world. Until you put them behind the wheel of a car.

Everybody is courteous, respectful and helpful and then you get on the freeway. 

Suddenly it's Mad Max: Fury Road. 

(Also, not waving when you give way is considered a crime in the UK.)

2) Why is there no squash/cordial?

A dash of fruit drink topped up with water is a BASIC human necessity supported by a multi-billion pound industry in the UK and Europe. 

Here it is non existent. 

I can't even buy a fruit drink without 300% sugar?

3) The road system is entirely chaotic.  

This is the logic I am supposed to recall at every crossing:

🙃 The first vehicle to come to a complete stop has the right-of-way. 
🙃 If two vehicles arrive at the same time, the driver on the right goes first. 
🙃 A vehicle turning left must yield to oncoming traffic going straight, even if it arrived first. 
🙃 You can always turn right, except sometimes you can't.
🙃 Pedestrians always have the priority to cross, so be prepared to yield to them. 

This is entirely fixed by using roundabouts - Please fix.

4) Crisps/Chips ONLY come in family sized bags - Why?

It's not enough to name them incorrectly, you have to package them incorrectly too? 

What if I don't want to eat a metric ton of fried potato as a snack? 

They're not even resealable bags so you're essentially TELLING me to finish the bag. 

Please can I have a small bag of crisps.

5) Sports are better here.

The fans are more diverse, the TV highlights more accessible and the games are more enjoyable. (My daughter got on the Jumbotron at the hockey and she hasn't stopped talking about it).

UK request, please can we get back to sports being about camaraderie, fun and an enjoyable pint WHILST watching the game? 

(Yes I'm aware that's mostly a football problem but we created that) 

What did I miss?

Sales leaders! Planning the Presidents club trip but no one hit quota?

I gotchu.

Or get 7 times that posting a sarcastic comment on a viral post.

That someone is me.

Linkedin is f**ked as far as I'm concerned. It's the wild west and the rules are made up.

I'll always produce videos.

I enjoy the dopamine.

But there's 700% more value from just being the funniest or wisest person in sea of comments saying:

"Love this"
"Great"
"Haha"

Oh and before you automate that with AI.

AI is never the funniest or wisest person in the room.

And it never will be.
