I’ve been blessed with adversity. From nearly dying at birth as the first ever ECMO baby at Children’s Memorial in Chicago, to having 34 surgeries after another near death snowmobile accident, to growing up blue collar in construction and being the first one in my family to graduate college, blessings upon blessings helped prepare me for life as a leader once I entered the workforce. 

What’s enabled me to not only survive but thrive is leveraging this adversity to my advantage to fuel my endless pursuit to make an impact on the world. My inner BEAUTIFUL SAVAGE if you will. 

My approach to life has lead to many successes, failures, and learnings on my journey.

Becoming an umpire was a huge responsibility that helped me cultivate the growth mindset to be results-driven, a self-starter with a strong integrity, a team player with excellent interpersonal skills and communication abilities, with a high degree of self-confidence. Five years behind the plate or on the field established a mountain of situational experiences which helped me keep a clear head in high pressure situations. Working multiple games on a given day, sometimes back-to-back or with downtime in between and often multiple days per week and the weekend, the one thing that differentiates me from others when coming into work is I am going to be the first one to turn the lights on and the last one to turn them off. Every since I was a teen, I have been results-driven and carried an entrepreneurial spirit. Earning my own pay at the age of thirteen was rewarding, motivating and made me eager to earn results.
