7 Ways You're Training Your Team to Lie to You

The Power of Someone Believing in You

Can you use a fork to eat cereal? YesWOULD you use a fork to eat cereal? No (unless you were being lazy about washing the dishes🍽️)Well...using a spreadsheet to collect information is like using a fork to eat cereal. Can you do it, yes. Is there a better way though? YesGo anywhere on the internet. Like absolutely anywhere...and tell me, do they collect information from you via a spreadsheet? No, they don't. They use a form. You'd enter, let's say, your name, email address and some other information into different fields and then you'd click a Submit button. That is a very normal and modern practice. We all use the internet this way. So why do we still do things like send out spreadsheets and ask for responses? Why do we still send out Word documents and request information? My guess is that you didn't know you had something available that was MUCH better. Particularly if you already pay for Microsoft. SharePoint is a POWERFUL tool that's available to you inside the Microsoft 365 suite. It can eliminate a lot of outdated processes that you're still using today, and the specific process I describe above is just ONE. Can you imagine, the next time you need to collect information from your team, you send them a link instead of a spreadsheet? They click the link, enter the information you requested, hit submit and continues on with their day? In addition, everyone's response would automatically be populated into a list that you manage. This would bring tears of joy to the most seasoned leaders of operations. I promise.
