This year has been one of the biggest years of my life.

A new baby girl.

If you’ve noticed I’ve been quieter on LinkedIn lately, it wasn’t because I lost interest.

Most home care owners try to scale the business the wrong way.

They think the path is:

More caregivers.
More leads.
More clients.
More everything.

But when you look at the agencies that actually grow through acquisitions…
Or the ones that get attention from buyers…

They’re not focused on getting bigger.

Here’s the reality no one tells you:

Buyers don’t chase the largest agencies.
They chase the agencies with the least operational risk.

And operational risk doesn’t show up in revenue.
It shows up in the backend.

These are the agencies that consistently get the highest multiples:

• The org chart runs without the owner
• EBITDA is clear and predictable
• Books are clean (no mystery categories)
• Margins aren’t swinging wildly

Not the biggest agencies.

Here’s the mindset shift:

If your business falls apart when you step away…
It’s not scalable.
And if it’s not scalable…
It’s not sellable.

Most owners think they need more clients.
What they actually need is to stop being the glue holding everything together.

If you don’t know what happened with IndiGo this week, it’s not just about cancelled flights.

It’s a reminder of how quickly things can break when operations are built for ideal conditions instead of real life.

Thousands of travellers were stranded.
Hundreds of flights were cancelled.
And all it took was one change in scheduling rules to expose a much deeper weakness.

This wasn’t simply an aviation issue.
It was an example of operational fragility, something many businesses quietly struggle with, even if the scale looks smaller.

Most teams run smoothly as long as everything goes according to plan.
But the moment something shifts unexpectedly
when a key person is unavailable,
when a tool fails,
when a rule changes,
when demand fluctuates, the entire system can fall apart.

IndiGo just made the problem visible at a national level.
But the pattern exists everywhere.


How do you avoid this in your own business?

1. Build for disruption, not perfection.
Your operations should function even on difficult days, not just on ideal ones.

2. Reduce single-point dependencies.
If one person or one tool failing can stop your business, that’s a structural risk.

3. Create buffers.
Time buffers, staffing buffers, process buffers. These don’t slow you down; they protect you.

4. Document how things work.
If only one person understands a process, your system is vulnerable by design.

5. Test your systems under pressure.
Ask yourself, “If this part breaks today, what happens?”
If the honest answer is panic, that’s where your focus should go.


IndiGo wasn’t an isolated event.
It was a real-time example of how even the biggest organisations can lose stability when their systems aren’t built for uncertainty.

If one unexpected change can bring an entire operation to a standstill, the issue isn’t the change, it’s the lack of resilience.

Strength isn’t about moving fast.
It’s about being able to stay steady when things shift abruptly.

I want more revenue.
I want better systems.
I want smoother operations.

At first glance, it sounds like a selfish list.
But here’s the uncomfortable truth:

Everyone wants this.
Very few are willing to do what it actually requires.

Because wanting more is easy…
Changing yourself is the hard part.

Most people proudly say,
“I’m learning every day.”

But almost nobody says,
“I’m unlearning every day.”
“I’m killing old habits.”
“I’m letting go of what no longer works.”

Learning increases your knowledge.
Unlearning increases your capacity.
Relearning increases your advantage.

This is the part no one teaches you:

1️⃣ Your growth is limited by the version of YOU that refuses to update.

We upgrade our phones every year…
But run our life and business on mental software from 2017.


2️⃣ Knowledge isn’t power, adaptability is.

The person who adapts faster outperforms the one who knows more.


3️⃣ Your old habits were built for your old goals.

You can’t reach new levels with outdated systems, beliefs, or behaviours.


4️⃣ Success is NOT adding more.

It's removing the wrong things.
Outdated tools.
Outdated workflows.
Outdated assumptions.
Outdated emotional patterns.

People think they’re stuck because of lack of resources.
But most are stuck because of lack of release.

You don’t move forward by force.
You move forward by letting go.

We all want:
– More revenue
– Better operations
– Less daily chaos
– Clearer decisions
– A business with room to breathe

But the real question isn’t:
“What should I learn?”
It’s:
“What am I willing to unlearn?”

That’s the shift that creates real transformation.

And it’s the shift that separates the 1% who move forward
from the 99% who stay exactly where they are.

If your next 90 days look like your last 90 days…
you’re not planning, you’re drifting.

I wrote this line for myself first.

Because there were months where I felt busy every single day…
but when I looked back, I couldn’t point to real progress.
Just motion. Not momentum.

If you’ve ever had that feeling that quiet frustration where you know you’re capable of more 
you’re not alone. Most of us drift without realizing it.

The truth is:
Life doesn’t change just because we want it to.
It changes when we create clarity,
remove distractions,
and build a simple plan we can actually stick to.

That’s why I’ve started using this 90-day framework
Not because it’s trendy…
but because it forces me to be honest with myself:

– What do I really want?
– Why does it matter right now?
– What am I avoiding?
– Who can I ask for help instead of trying to be a hero?
– And what’s the ONE thing I’ll commit to every week?

No perfection.
No big motivational speeches.
Just a human trying to make the next 90 days count.

If the last 90 days felt heavy, scattered, or stagnant,
maybe the next 90 don’t have to.

We don’t need a new year.
We just need a new intention
