Amsted Digital Solutions (formerly IONX Asset Monitoring), a division of Amsted Rail, is a premier global provider of remote tracking and condition monitoring of mobile freight car assets.

As the Controller, Dana was responsible for all financial reporting, forecasting, cash flow management, and regulatory compliance. She had oversight of the A/P, A/R, Invoicing, and HR functions. Additionally, she oversaw quarterly and annual inventory counts.

In her role, she worked closely with the Operations, Engineering, and Sales teams to ensure that business operations were well supported by the Finance and Accounting function.

With 47 manufacturing facilities in 11 countries, Amsted serves the vehicular, railroad, construction and building markets by employing more than 11,000 people throughout the world. Amsted has grown through both acquisition and product innovation to become the leader in the industries it serves. In 1986, Amsted Industries established an Employee Stock Ownership Plan and by 1998 it was 100% ESOP owned.

As a Senior Auditor, Dana leads operational, financial, and compliance audits through the planning, execution and reporting phases. Areas/processes audited include, financial statement review/management reporting, intellectual property, procurement, exporting, record retention, expense reporting, taxation and tax reporting, benefit plans, inventory, and global risk and controls assessments. Dana travels domestically and internationally (including China, South Africa, Mexico, and Europe) to perform the audits listed. 

Dana is also involved with Amsted’s SOX program and performs walkthroughs of key processes (procurement, revenue, management reporting, information technology, fixed assets, and operations) as well as reviews testing performed. Amsted Internal Audit works closely with the Company’s financial statement auditors to provide testing support and walkthrough documentation.

In addition to audit activities, Dana was involved with the annual audit risk assessment, audit plan development, standard audit report reformatting, audit program development, and other various special projects.

Within the Risk Consulting practice of Crowe Horwath Dana provides her clients with Internal Audit capabilities, SOx404 compliance, SSAE16 attestation, and event driven services. Dana's clients are in the telecommunications, financial services, and insurance industries. 

In addition to client focused services, Dana is involved with internal training, staff onboarding, business development, and the Risk Consulting Advisory Council. Her performance in all areas within the firm have provided Dana with unique opportunities and she thrives in a highly productive and fast paced environment.

Dana was responsible for identifying the financing needs and delivering practical solutions for a minimum of 22 customers each month. Financing options included consumer loans and mortgages to consolidate debt and develop a customized debt relief plan for each customer. 

Within three months, Dana became the top producer (out of 25 employees) due to her high personal productivity and ability to match the most customers with the appropriate financial solution.
