After two days of training an amazing team of Tech professionals (with a sprinkle of marketing in there too!) for Speakers Institute Corporate, the answer is a very clear: yes.

We spent two days immersed in story, presence and influence — a fully hybrid experience with participants both in the room and online. The setup ensured everyone could learn, contribute and practise in real time, no matter where they joined from.

Do you remember when critical thinking came naturally?

Tricky question, right!!!

Guess what? It was when you were a kid! Yep. 

Children are some of the greatest critical thinkers on the planet.

Tiny detectives. Mini philosophers. Fierce negotiators.
(Which one were you?!)

They ask: Why? How come? What if? Why not?

They pull things apart. 
They challenge assumptions. 
They see patterns we miss.

But somewhere along the way…
We stop asking.
We stop wondering.

We outsource our thinking to systems, routines, leaders, algorithms and now, to AI.

Yet today, critical thinking is needed more than ever:

In boardrooms.
In team meetings.
In families.

And especially in our digital-native children growing up in a world of information overload and instant answers.

So here’s your Critical Thinking Question #3 — one that reactivates curiosity and reclaims your inner child-mind:

🔍 “What else could be true?”

When you’re stuck in certainty, assumption, or stress… pause and ask:

What are 3–5 other possibilities here?

Not the right answer.
Just other answers.
This question does wonders. It:

✔ loosens rigid thinking
✔ reduces emotional reactivity
✔ opens new pathways to solutions
✔ helps teams move from conflict to creativity
✔ stops us jumping to conclusions
✔ brings more empathy into conversations

Critical thinking isn’t about being smart.

It’s about being curious.
