Chief Executive Officer

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions

After spearheading a turnaround of Toyota JIT logistics & supply chain operations and exceeding goals, I earned a multilevel promotion to director, and then another rapid promotion to senior director. I led monthly strategic redesigns to meet the demands of multivariate manufacturing volumes, negotiated contracts, and managed 12 P&Ls, valued at $190M+. 

While in this role, I gained an intimate knowledge of how the supply chain can fracture during periods of uncertainty (COVID-19 pandemic). I navigated my team through uncharted waters, including large-scale shutdowns, driver furloughs, ever-changing regulatory compliance, and periods of unprecedented, pent-up demand coupled with staff shortages.

Notably, I: 
✔Maintained #1 rank in profitability after reversing account underperformance and transforming it into Ryder Toyota’s top generator (66%) of total profits.
✔Oversaw multistate operations for 36 terminals, spread across the southern US corridor (AL, AZ, AR, CA, KY, OK, TN, and TX); provided cross-border logistics at the US-Mexico border.
✔Catapulted growth, including 128% increase in trailers (350 to 800); 125% expansion of tractors (200 to 450); 106% increase in drivers (400 to 825), and a 50% elevation in staff (48 to 72).
✔Reduced costs by eliminating 4th-party support accounts, recognizing zero operational-induced expedites in Q1 & Q2 of 2019.
✔Supported regional and national customers by onboarding new customers across Ryder’s manufacturing, distribution management, JIT logistics, fleet management, and truck leasing services.
✔Drove continuous process improvement, prioritizing efficiency, safety, and SOP compliance. Introduced strategic changes and radical efficiency improvements via route design initiatives.
✔Restructured an underperforming leadership team by revamping the Leadership Development Program and establishing a robust North American talent pipeline.

Senior Director of Customer Logistics - TOYOTA

I was recruited by former employer Ryder to lead transformation of a major just-in-time (JIT) supply chain with 36 locations in 9 domestic states. 

In this role, I managed 6 P&Ls valued at $68M and led teams that serviced Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas (TMMTX), Toyota Motor Manufacturing Mississippi (TMMMS), Ford, Volvo, General Motors, Johnson Controls, and other high-profile OEMs & Tier One suppliers serving the automotive, aerospace, and industrial (AAI) verticals.

Key achievements: 
✔Rebuilt business to #1 rank in profitability, reversing account underperformance in just 6 months (goal was 2 years) and generating 66% of Ryder Toyota’s total profits while only representing 33% of the organization.
✔Optimized equipment and labor utilization for 200 tractors, 350 trailers, 400 drivers, and 48 staff.
✔Secured ~$9M in new revenue through business development and contract negotiation.
✔Achieved zero shutdowns in a JIT environment.
✔Created top-performing teams by engaging and leading 500+ employees, empowering them with resources and tools to succeed, and inspiring & encouraging them to push the envelope on performance and advancement.

Group Logistics Manager - TOYOTA

Martin Brower

A division of Reyes Holdings, Martin Brower handled 65% of McDonald’s global logistics and distribution at the time I was in this role, ranking #2 on Gartner’s Supply Chain Top 25 list. 

I was tapped with revitalizing the company’s most profitable site in North America. To do so, I designed and executed an operational turnaround and cultural transformation by using analytics to optimize efficiencies, drive revenue, and expand the customer base. 

I engaged the 300+-employee workforce through situational leadership, diversification, and creative psychological team building. Additionally, I streamlined processes and improved productivity by spearheading the adoption of Lean 5S, and Kanban initiatives, including implementing WMS Manhattan-specific processes.

Key achievements:
✔Gained 18% in product & delivery reliability, saving $992K in <6 months.
✔Secured a 23% reduction in empty miles and increased below-the-line earnings by $22K+ per month.
✔Maintained an on-time rating of 96% while servicing 765+ McDonald’s locations and traveling heavily (9M+ miles).
✔Secured a 99% safety audit rating, the highest distribution center score in the network.
✔Prevented unionization by addressing employee needs and operational inefficiencies. 
✔Significantly reduced overtime costs and burnout by adjusting headcount and implementing lean-based training.
✔Introduced analytics at a site with no engineer. Refocused meetings around KPI metrics and root cause analysis.

Assistant General Manager - MCDONALD’S

I began my journey with Ryder, a Fortune 500 commercial fleet management services and supply chain solutions company, on the high-profile Home Depot account. 

Earning fast-track promotions, I was selected to join the prestigious Ryder Startup Team to develop lean processes and create SOPs that improved safety, productivity, and supply chain excellence at both Home Depot and Clarks, a UK-based international shoe manufacturer/retailer.

While managing and motivating a cross-functional team of ~475 (350, Home Depot | 120, Clarks—a 24-hr. operation), I built a high-performing workforce and team-oriented work culture, a thread that followed me throughout my career.

Key impacts:
✔Designed and built 2 new distribution centers for Clarks. Infrastructure planning considerations included product velocity solutions and complex drop-ship needs.
✔Defined SOPs for all warehousing functions (inbound, outbound, transportation, and inventory control operations). ✔Increased product flow 24% by transforming inventory, warehouse, and operational strategies and processes. Started At-a-Glance Boards for real-time updates and shared across the entire national platform.
✔Accelerated training times by designing standardized training and development programs, including quick-reference training aids.

Senior Logistics Manager - THE HOME DEPOT & CLARKS

I joined the Home Depot account as a logistics manager and was elevated to an inventory control manager within 4 months. In this role, I drove innovation through strategic and hands-on leadership for inbound/outbound operations, warehouse, transportation, and office operations for the Fortune 10 company ranked in Gartner’s Supply Chain Top 25.

Leveraging lean methodologies, I led a team of 600 employees in enhancing quality, profitability, and efficiency in the storage and movement of goods—revitalizing distribution and warehouse management at Home Depot’s largest (1.2M SF) distribution center.

Key impacts:
✔ Distributed $70M in 3,687 merchandise SKUs to 294 Home Depot stores weekly.
✔ Drove 200% increase in productivity within first 90 days by leading cultural transformation, centered around a sustainable high-performance environment.
✔ Decreased avoidable accidents by 220% by fostering a culture of safety and compliance and reinvesting production cost-saving dollars into high-tech equipment safety modifications on all MHE.
✔Restructured the facility and transformed operations by reconfiguring racking to increase selection and storage capacity, redesigning pick paths to increase product velocity, and implementing standard work instructions.
✔Improved productivity by leading a workforce reorganization. Elements included collaborating with HR to achieve optimal headcount, eliminating non-value-added jobs, creating cross-training programs, and developing and mentoring leaders.

Inventory Control Manager - THE HOME DEPOT

US Army

During my career with the U.S. Army, I received a series of promotions and awards for excellence in global and domestic supply chain management and logistics. 

In this role, I directed inventory control and logistics (15K+ line items worth $820M) to meet the ever-changing needs of 14 international companies. I recruited, trained, and directed a team of 48 senior-level managers—igniting teamwork and productivity by establishing a culture focused on expectations clarity and rewarding contributions.

Notably, my teams:
✔ Achieved 100% inventory accountability (zero losses confirmed by third-party audit) by cataloging equipment, materials, and supplies. 
✔ Saved $270K and 920+ labor hours through data analysis, streamlining workflow, and implementing cost-saving measures throughout the supply chain.
✔ Restructured multinational workforces by creating 13 standard operating procedure (SOP) manuals that helped create consistency across different teams and organizations.

Senior Inventory Control Manager

In this role, I oversaw logistics and mission-essential infrastructure development programs to support 10K+ personnel in challenging wartime conditions. I trained and managed 80+ personnel responsible for inventory management, procurement, logistics, transportation, security, and technology—for 22+ companies.

My teams and I built the logistics organization, supply channels, and transportation plans from scratch. I managed construction and contracting efforts to establish infrastructures, living facilities, and import logistical services and supplies.

Key achievements:
✔Reduced costs of goods & services 45% by updating procurement practices.  
✔Saved $250K in 12 months through contract negotiations.
✔Decreased budget costs 15% by scrutinizing vendor performance and compliance.
✔Eliminated underperforming and overly expensive contractors.

Program Manager/ Senior Logistics Manager

I trained, motivated, and managed a team of 18 in delivering tangible improvements to daily operations and increased efficiencies in receiving, stocking, securing, and distributing equipment and supplies. 

Notable successes:
✔Managed the logistical planning and movement of 1K+ personnel.
✔Drove productivity 24% by cross-training supply clerks to perform in warehouse positions. 
✔Processed 70+ reports and achieved an impressive 87% success rate of recouping government funds.

Supply Chain Manager / Warehouse Supervisor

After COVID-19 wreaked havoc on the supply chain, reimagining and raising the bar on supply chain excellence became a necessity. Leveraging an extensive background in reshaping the world’s top supply chain organizations (including Ryder, Martin Brower, the US Army, and other Fortune 500 and Global 500 organizations), I conceptualized and launched the Spartan conglomerate in July 2021, hand-selecting a team of best-in-class performers to build the organization with me.
