I worked a number of events such as the Philadelphia Phillies Men’s and Women’s Carpenter Cup baseball tournaments, the Philadelphia Phillies ALS Phestival; duties included checking in baseball players and scouts, selling program books, t-shirts and concessions, keeping game scores, answering attendees questions, directing guests around ballpark, assisting with the silent auction, as well as the set up and break down of both events. Additionally, I participated in the Phillies Phundamentals community outreach program; working with children at the Cohocksink recreation center.  I also attended marketing meetings throughout the summer and was able to get a behind the scenes look at advertising tactics and had the opportunity to share my ideas.

I was responsible for taking pictures of, and interviewing interesting fans and local celebrities at a number of Phillies games throughout the season. I was accountable for instagram-ing pictures taken throughout the game and sending them in “real time” to MLB.com with captions for use on various MLB.com social media accounts such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Cut4. I was responsible for uploading all videos post-game in the pressroom to MLB.com’s video database for use on MLB.com’s same social media accounts. I covered major events throughout the season such as Chase Utley’s first game back, Cole Hamel’s contract signing, the Phillies Phestival and portions of the Phillies alumni weekend.
