I became a lawyer because I thought it was my calling. By 15, I was convinced it was my future. I spent 8 years in law, even built my own firm.

But the reality? It wasn’t what I expected.

The system was broken. Mentorship was non-existent. The industry was male-dominated. And no matter how hard I tried, I never truly fit.

Walking away wasn’t easy. It felt like failure. But it wasn’t.

Because in truth, my passion had always been elsewhere.

I grew up with challenge after challenge:

↳ Knock-kneed and major surgery at 6 (I had to relearn how to walk)
↳ Scoliosis with chronic back pain
↳ Severe IBS and acid reflux
↳ Wrist arthritis that led to a partial fusion and bone graft

Those setbacks forced me to explore the power of health, strength, and resilience. Over time, it became clear: fitness wasn’t just something I loved. It was my purpose.

Today, I coach men and women in their 30s and 40s who feel stuck. The pants are tighter. The belly’s bigger. Energy is lower. Strength feels like a thing of the past.

I know that story—because I’ve lived it.

And I also know this: you don’t need perfection, endless diets, or 2-hour gym sessions. You need a simple, structured approach to get strong again. To build the energy, resilience, and confidence that carries into your 40s, 50s, and beyond.

true story: i was outbounded by a tibetan buddhist lama due to my linkedin presence 

she wanted me to help her grow her reach and get her practices into more hands

it was super flattering, but i had committed to starting becoming the bridge with jack just a few weeks prior so i turned down the opportunity

(still pretty cool to think that in another timeline i could have been working with a great spiritual leader, sharing a practice that i have studied in and has directly benefited my life!)

one small piece that stood out to me about the experience:

she called, texted, and emailed all within 12 hours to try to get ahold of me 

simultaneously hilarious and iconic 😂

now, her sales style is very different than mine, but the point remains:

mission driven/spiritual/lightworker/folks in service: this is your psa:

⚡  IT IS A KIND THING TO LEARN HOW TO SELL ⚡ 

to invite people into your offerings
to extend clear, confident outreach
to joyfully slide into those DMs with a clean, aligned ask

i am tired of seeing amazing, intentional humans who want to help struggle because they can’t land clients

and i am even more tired of hearing of these business coaches who are selling these same folks shitty dm templates and copy-paste frameworks that don’t work

My theory on so many of us are unhappy is because as a society we have forgotten the ancient technology of initiation

I don’t mean the chugging beers in a frat kind.

I mean the ritual process of being witnessed through transformation.

Of being met in the threshold of who you’ve been and who you’re becoming.

Of having a container strong enough to hold your discomfort, truth, grief, vision, and rebirth.

This is the work that we do with our community on retreats.

We create ceremonial containers that allow people to meet themselves at depths that most modern life never makes space for. Places where clarity isn’t forced, but earned.

For this upcoming retreat in Costa Rica we will be sitting in a sacred sweat lodge ceremony facilitated by our friend and coach Sage, who has been given the blessing to serve this medicine by Mestizo elders.

Imagine multiple hours of sitting in the heat.

Singing. Praying. Releasing the burdens you’ve been carrying.

Held by the earth, the elements, the ancestors, and a group of people who by the end will no longer be strangers, but rather brothers and sisters for life.

Initiation has always been how humans remember who they are.

We’re not reinventing anything.

We’re remembering.
