I spent 3 hours yesterday watching an AI agent try to book a flight.
It failed.
Not because it wasn’t smart enough.
Because the web was never designed for non-human operators.
This is the uncomfortable truth behind the “Digital Employee” narrative.
We tell leaders they’ll become “Architects” while agents do the work.
In reality, today’s Architect spends most of the day babysitting automation through pop-ups, captchas, brittle UIs, and security tripwires.
That’s not orchestration. That’s operational drag.
The future role isn’t just Judge or Fixer.
It’s Enabler — owning the environment so agents can operate predictably, securely, and at scale.
If agents can’t browse without triggering every firewall, fraud system, or human-verification loop, humans don’t move up the value chain.
They just inherit more failure states.
This is why infrastructure matters more than demos.

As part of the Perch acquisition, I led the product teams building the next generation of AI, IoT sensor and data-driven services that make the Raydiant In-Store Digital Experience platform the most intelligent, contextual, interactive and effective platform for the physical world.  

Our clients include the top QSRs, 3 of the top 10 CPGs, 3 of the top 20 retailers, etc.   Over 150 companies  have built their physical world extensions on the Raydiant marketplace because we make physical world deployment easy and unlock the power of data and consumer engagement.

Key Accomplishments:

- Integrated Perch into Raydiant seamlessly with 0% customer churn, 0% employee churn, and positive cash flow contribution

- Redefined and socialized our product strategy for AI, Computer Vision and data analytics in first 6 months.  Launched the first integrated data dashboard across all Raydiant products.

- Helped revitalize a struggling engineering group into the top performing team in the department

- Increased computer vision accuracy 300% while reducing hardware costs by 35%

- Was the key technical product resource for enterprise deals and Business Development, helping contribute to 357% YoY rev growth

- Closed the largest deal (7-figure) in Raydiant history as interim Head of Enterprise sales

The result is a 30-180% sales lift with the new creative canvas of physical+digital marketing - delivering the right message at the critical decision point and enabling the types of magical in-store experiences that drive customer loyalty.

Our clients include 3 of the top 10 CPGs and 3 of the top 10 retailers deploying the technology across 5 continents.  

Key Accomplishments:

- Took over as a turnaround with flat-lined revenues and grew revenues 5x in 2 years to $2.5m ARR

- Rebuilt the technology team and re-architected the product within 12 months

- Migrated from product services model to PaaS/SaaS model

- Negotiated to the final stages of $10m Series A, before Covid disrupted the business
