Responsibilities included:

As a FSO Assurance Senior in the Wealth & Asset Management division at Ernst & Young, I played a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations for clients within the wealth and asset management sector.

Responsibilities included:

•   Conducting thorough financial audits in compliance with regulatory standards, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements and reports.
•   Providing assurance services to a diverse portfolio of clients, including mutual funds, hedge funds, and private equity firms, to enhance their financial performance and operational efficiency.

In my role as a Financial Services Staff member at Anchin, Block & Anchin LLP, I provided audit and tax services for various types of hedge funds, including investment partnerships, offshore funds, fund of funds, and master feeder structures with blocker funds.

I was responsible for preparing multiple audit engagements and resolving any accounting issues that arose during these engagements. I was a part of teams comprising 2 to 10 members, where we performed audits for various hedge funds with over $1 billion in assets.

Additionally, I participated in on-campus recruiting events, carried out entry and mid-level interviews, assisted in new hire training, and even taught CPE classes. During my tenure as a Summer Analyst in Asset Management at J.P. Morgan, I conducted extensive market research and analytics. I played an advisory role in daily equity and research meetings, providing valuable insights based on my analysis.

My contributions supported and facilitated the growth of managed asset portfolios, increasing them to over $200 million. As an Accounting Intern I was entrusted with several accounting responsibilities that allowed me to grow professionally. One of my key duties was reconciling bank statements, which required meticulous attention to detail and a strong understanding of financial transactions.

In addition to that, part of my role also involved maintaining and updating accounts receivable and payable records, verifying and posting transactions to general ledgers, assisting in the preparation of financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting procedures and policies.
